I would not be surprised one bit if Q should ever leave or get fired that Edzo would be a candidate for the job. - jhawk159
And I'd hope that they do the same thing the Rangers did when Messier wanted to fill a vacant coaching slot: say "thanks very much" and go with somebody else.
Olczyk was not a good head coach at all, though I suppose Pittsburgh could include him as a worthy contributor towards getting all of those top draft picks. I also remember posters mentioning that he'd be a potential GM replacement candidate at some point, back when Stan was Public Enemy Numero Uno. Not so sure about that but...
If somebody did hire him for something, it certainly would spare us from some of his tired color 'analysis' and bring an end to a good deal of the on-air corniness of the current local broadcasts with Foley
And after that, somebody would just need to poach Milbury and Pierre for organisational positions aware from TV and the we'd all be better off. |

What does that say about Blackhawk chances this year?
One elite center, one ok to good center, no one else. - StLBravesFan
Calling Toews ok to good is going to get everyone going again. |

I thought you'd be upset that he called Regin elite! - DarthKane
pretty sure he was referring to Handzus. He was the only #1 center on his team in the Olympics. |

Doesn't his playing center on the cup team last year tell you that it is good enough at least? I'd like Shaw at wing as well in an ideal world. He sucks at FO and is decent in his own zone, but I think he can do it. All four centers from last year are on this years roster. The Hawks could use two forwards (mainly TT and Danault) to emerge from the system next year to help solidify the coming dynasty. |

Not an easy road to become a NHL coach....Need to be a head coach first of a top Jr. team or in the AHL.
Canada defeats USA 1-0 and will play for Gold. US power play fizzled and they were outplayed 5 on 5: Fox Chicago: http://bit.ly/1eewBWv

Elbows, another one of your guys - Stephen Johns - is currently playing on NBCSN. I've read he's gonna be great; could even replace Seabrook next season... |

Hawks can win with him at center - doesn't make him "ok to good": bad at FOs, more goals than assists - not stats for a good center. |

Obviously I am happy Canada won, but I feel bad for Kane. A win against Canada would mean a lot to Kaner. I'm not surprised to see Toews be supportive of his running mate. |

Toews said afterword that he respects Kane as a hockey player and a man. Good stuff. I'm sure Kane appreciates it, although I'm sure he'd like a turn to be the older brother. |

Kane was the only forward who was dangerous every time he was on the ice. Well, Parise too. Kessel had many chances to stop plays along the wall and support the puck and baled. |
