Takes care of the 2C spot. and gives you a stud that is 6 years younger. ROR or PS would have to be resigned but I think you could get either cheaper and for shorter term than Toews. Also, clears up cap problems for a few years as Mackinnion is on his ELC.

It was a dive. Knight never touched her. It was incidental contact between their skates. Sketchy? it was terrible. They blew icings. They saved the idiot who blasted the American girl in the face with a cross check with a phantom call. Whatever. They were coached by a guy who played outside the rules his whole career. Tough call for an official to make. Wickenheiser's getaway pegs ain't what they used to be. Don't blame your viewpoint on that or the make up call that i agree was bullssssspoop. Canadians showed heart though to come back in regulation and that set them up for the W. Not their fault the refs are semi-incompetent.

Got the one lucky bounce they needed on the first. Second was a dumb play by vetters. They also missed a blatant trip right before canada entered the zone for the tying goal.

In his rookie season. Captain Creampuff gets knocked on his ass at least 5 times a game. Let's see what the difference after the same number of games. At this point Mackinnon has scored 2 less goals. Oh and MacKinnon will probably play all 82 games. Something Johnny boy has never done.
