But a lot less room at the top.

The extra width plays more to Keith's strength as a skater. His lateral mobility as oppose to straight ahead speed.

Almost all of the comments about the international rink concentrate on the extra 15 feet: there are effects caused by the shorter zones - 3 equal zones, unlike the NHL - easier to clear zones, easier to defend, both even strength and on PPs (even with the extra width) maybe, less north-south play, larger neutral zone gives speed even more of an advantage....

Undermanned teams don't check the neutral zone much at all....ie Slovaks vs US.

Kane would have 120pts + every season if he was allowed to skate from his own blueline into the offensive zone without being touched.

Olympic hockey vs evenly matched teams is good viewing otherwise not so.

Norway was very happy to lose by only 2 goals to Canada and didn't even try to win and pull the goaltender while on the PP in the last 2 mins....

Over matched teams just hope to keep the goal differential down.

There is something to say for not pulling your goalie in that situation: too many skaters in a small space, maybe harder to find the net.

Was thinking the same thing today watching Canada pound Austria. Didn't see the US game the other day but same result against Slovakia who unlike Austria has bit more proven NHL talent.

Hoping for a win against Russia tomorrow but waiting for some better games. Til then I get why some on here are saying "Yawn".

Down by 2 goals with less than 2 mins to play....If you are trying to win you pull the goalie even when on a PP, especially when playing against superior players.

I noticed that Brad Mills is playing again for Rockford. I thought he'd be in line for a call up once he got healthy but not so sure now.

Morin has been on fire too, 5 goals and 5 assists in the past 5 games. Somebody want to play for Chicago pretty bad.

This is definitely the biggest non-elimination game of the whole Ogi tournament

What's pissing me off is these groupings. WTF do we have to go thru SVK and RUS, while the hosers & Swedes get cakewalks to byes. We lose to RUS, likely no bye for us. WIN DUDES!

Four top teams, three groupings - had to happen to two of them.

Even if they were to lose today, goal differential would probably get the US a bye.
