You spend an awful lot of time in the Leafs thread for someone who doesn't care. - Jeffmt
I post there like once a week maybe. I also post on other team's random threads. I kill time in a boring class or at work. Facebook/Twitter/Texting is only so much fun these days. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you in the Leafs thread a lot too? That's what I don't get. Vancouver fans are always saying they don't care but we see more Vancouver fans (usually trolling) in the Leafs thread than any other fan base. - Jeffmt
No that's not me. I make a few comments on occasion but rarely get off this thread. |

The only shocking thing is that judged sports like figure skating are still in the Olympics considering how much bullpoop has occurred over the years. - sanfordnson
Yeah the Olympics is a joke it is so corrupt. |

Wasn't all that faint. It was a French sports magazine that broke the story. It was on twitter way earlier today. - sanfordnson
I'm pretty sure it's the same magazine that was going after Lance Armstrong before anyone else too. They've got to have at least a bit of credibility. |

U guys forget about the Sedins new contracts? How can Gillis justify blowing this team up after signing them to ridiculous contracts? - GCHonda
Them? Are you (frank)in serious, Hank is one of the better centers in the league. |

50 years from now there will a pre-game ceremony on Hockey Night in Canada commemorating this glorious day: the first time the leafs broke, an over a decade long, losing streak to a decimated Vancouver Canucks. 5 leafs players with still be alive and Phil Kessel will look like a 140 year old Chinese lady.
Congrats on your monumental victory - Chest Rockwell
We shouldn't flatter ourselves, it will be 100 years since the Leafs one the cup in '64, one of the last few times they won the cup.

It's not even about the Leafs so much as it is about having CBC shove them down our throats for many many years. Not so much in today's world though where you can watch any team you want if you have some money. - LeftCoaster
I get that. If I had to watch the Leafs play at 4:00 every time the Canucks were in town I'd be pissed off too. That beef should be with the CBC though, not the Leafs and certainly not the fans. We have nothing to do with that. |

That's the same paper that claimed to get hold of Armstrong's '99 urine sample, conducted their own private test, and published the findings as definitive doping. I get that LA was later exposed, but that report was never seen as credible and seemed to be a fairly "progressive" way to go about investigative journalism.
All this said the Olympics is so corrupt top to bottom that judges rigging anything wouldn't be too hard to believe at all. I just hope it can be proven, rather than just rumored. |

Henrik is easily top ten in the league (and given the absolute abuse he - and his brother receive - game in and game out, his iron-man streak, point production is that much more remarkable) |

For me, it isn't so much as that as any Leafs news is big news. For years when the Leafs were in the crapper, you could turn on sportsnet, tsn, or cbc and they would find some Leafs story to run. There is other things going on in the league and they would put on some Leaf fluff piece as if it was news. |

Corruption allegations against the Russians in their own Olympics is probably the least shocking thing about the games. The fact that the Americans are implicated isn't a huge surprise either. The only weird part is that the leak is apparently from someone involved with the Russian team. Why would you make a backroom deal and then tell a journalist about it? That makes no sense. |

If that's true it might not be the person(s) who made the deal but was aware of it all the same. Maybe they wanted to expose that this stuff happens, whether for their own gain or altruistic reasons. We're pretty heavy in speculation here. |
