I take it Alt would be a longshot?
(just wondering, as I really don't know where he stands on ever making the NHL)?

He's played solidly, from the Phantoms writers I follow. He's got a shot to make it, but this is his first full year of pro hockey, so there's really no rush

Can you provide a link to these phantoms writers? Are you going off their website?

It's time to quit trying to define this team and just enjoy the ride. They're inconsistent and don't look like a serious contender, then the go through the Detroit-California-Colorado-Calgary chamber of horrors and get 10 out of 12 points.

Detroit is struggling, but always tough. LA is having trouble scoring, but still has a damned good team, San Jose is an elite team and the Flyers outplayed them badly. Colorado is another good team, playing well and the Flyers did a good job there as well, and finally the Flames, while not a good team, comes in on a win streak of their own and the Flyers gut out a tough win.

This stretch could have been make or break for them. They gutted it out and got their points, kept pace in the standings and did it against a rough schedule

Im ok with it bc really theres guys like a Talbot available every summer. We didn't give up anything to get Talbot, so it's no loss really.

Funny I heard people talk about Lappy the same way (guys like him always available) when we signed him. Let me tell you, guys that can give you what Lappy and Talbot can (no I'm not equating them) are fairly hard to find.
