Is this based on a source or common sense. I used the latter to figure this out a while ago.... - keaner17
Not Weight but Scott Pellerin will be the next coach. We only hire our coaches who coach in the AHL |

So comical that Hawk fans are so excited to get Regin and Bouchard. Like Quenville going to make them the players they can be.
I know everyone all upset at lose to Calgary. I was too, but that was BS on the GWG. Nabby was very much intefered with.
Also Cappy is a tool putting Player selection at the end of the game.
one bright side. Both Hickey and DeHaan scored. |

Charles will give the people Cappy. This is so Charles and his son can go back to running the show. Just a hint, it is not the son who likes chips. |

They're not, at least not the ones who popped in here...they've been realistic about what is a minor trade for both teams. It's other unrelated teams' fans that are coming here as the instant experts. Listening to them try to drop some knowledge on us about the Isles and their players is like hearing Ted Stevens describing the Internet. |

What reality are you in? I haven't seen any excitement over the trade from knowledgeable Hawks fans. What excitement there may be is more like "maybe another Frolik or Zus but could just as easily be Olesz, Pisani, or one of many other Bowman fringe pickups or trades.".
If Regin ends up being a 4th line center, kicking Kruger up to 3 or 2C and is a serviceable PKer then the trade is a win. If not, it is a $75k in cap space (when Regin joins JMB in Rockford) and a 4th rounder.
BTW, take a look at fringe players who have excelled when Q narrowed their roles over the last 4-5 years..... Just what he got out of that retread Handzus last year was a miracle. Look at Versteeg's turnaround since coming from FL this year. Frolik the year before.
Based on what I read here - I'd take Q's chance of getting something out of either player over Capuano.

On behalf of today's Chitown posters I thank you.
Bottom line. When I see you're lineup I see a hell of a lot more talent than your record - much more than other perceived to be young, up and coming teams. You are not that many players away. They just happen to be key positions - Goal and probably a solid veteran D man. Those and the right coach and you may get scary.
See if Snow can get Martin Jones for Vanek. Much rather see him than Ryan Miller if the Isles were my team (and they are one of my favs). |

PMB is making 2 million dollars.. fyi. Regin is 700k.. so even 1/2 price I assure you PMB was NOT a "throw in".. especially to a team at the cap limit. - niteislander
You really have no clue how the cap works for an NHL player vs an AHL player, how paying 1/2 the salary figures in and what a pro-rated cap hit is for a guy brought up in March.
What you are saying lends no credence that you understand ANYTHING about a cap hit. |

The fans wanted the lousy ones out and replaced with better D. I doubt many fans wanted guys gone with no replacements. |

I'll be happy to trade off Amac for Reinhart. Still need to sign a FA dman or two especially if Vish is traded this year. |
