Read the post again.

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE CANUCKS.

I'm talking in general.

- Fosco

It's just the general "norm", but definitely not a rule, as you're well aware

Read my post please I am talking about our unproductive first line of three passers no finishers

I don't give a flying Fuk about other teams first lines( who by the way are productive)

- VANTEL

Never mind. This is painful.

I couldn't get an answer out of you last time, either.

I'm not talking about any team in particular, or any line.

I'm talking about the roles wingers and centres play.

Sorry I brought it up.

I misunderstood your post, but still wanted an answer from the last time we discussed it.

We are all aware I didn't realize I had to be diction perfect with Fosc when explaining that Canucks have all passers on their first line with no one shooting.

The effin Hank Sedin is not shooting enought , is that better?

We'll stop trying to correct me and you will hear I am saying we have all passers on the first line and I thought they were paying Danny and Burrows to be the snipers.

That Fukien Hank and Burrows can't finish off Danny's playmaking , is that better?

WTF, I'm not trying to correct you.

It's like we're speaking different languages.

I know we no longer have enough legit shooters, and I know Daniel is more of a passer now.

I'm asking a general hockey question.

Lefty was able to answer it fine.

JS is suited for the eastern conference game, he's flying out there.

Yeah, I know it's the "norm," which is what I said in my earlier post, but I just don't see why just because a player passes more than he shoots it makes that player a centre.

The position has to do with where you play on the ice (at least on the forward line), not the inclination to shoot or pass.

It is easier to distribute the puck to all points from the center. But I ddo see your point

Which is why centres usually are the distributors, I know, but it's not a rule.

There are plenty of examples of pass-first wingers (Daniel, for example ), and shoot-first centers.

So you were assuming that I thought that every center in the history of the NHL needed to be the playmaker

it started weeks ago when I said we had a 15 million dollar center on out first line. I will break it down to we have no finishers on the first line and an 18 game goal drought is saying I am right.

Daniel had 16 goals in 48 games last year and now 13 in 59 games so far. It is not a minor slum . Our team is free falling because our top guys are not doing what they are suppose to be doing .

The position is not the issue ,you are twisting things. Daniel was hired to be a sniper and he is becoming horrible at what he is paid to do

I get where Vantel is coming from, saying that pretty much Kesler and Higgins are the only 2 guys on this team scoring enough which is very sad. Henrik is a top notch playmaker, but Daniel and Burrows aren't good enough playmakers to be earning their money without scoring enough goals. Burrows has more excuses than Daniel at least, also getting paid less and does other things to contribute.

Maybe Daniel should center Kesler

Agreed.

Daniel's playing like poop right now. No arguments. Lots of Canucks are, but it hurts the team even more when it's the top players.

Doesn't mean he'll be this bad for the rest of his career.

Plenty of players bounce back after bad years.

Again, I'm not talking about Daniel, or the Canucks.

My question goes back to a discussion we had a while ago that I mistakenly thought you were commenting on again.
