"I like this move by the Canadiens, as I was an advocate to bring Weise in when he was on the block. Being a former Canucks blogger I’ve gotten to see a lot of Dale Weise. When Weise is on his game he’s a physical presence that can fight, kill penalties and pot the odd goal."

Oh Ian...

He was pretty devastated when Volpatti got waived too.

Dime a dozen players! You can find them in the AHL easily.

Anyone have interest in Erik Cole or Dustin Penner in a mid-level hockey move?

I tried to make this work but clearly you're no longer interested in me and don't wanna spend time on improving this and making it work.

GWG and SHP are both pretty random. Look at the league leaders in those categories...not exactly a stat with a large sample size. I place very little value in it when evaluating players personally.
- Nucker101

I like SHP because it forces managers to have a few players who play on the PK.

I'm less fond of GWGs, but added it because I've never been in a pool without it, so I figured it was a pretty common category.

Plus, it's a measure of "clutchness"

I find GWG's actually more tolerable than SHP. Some of the worst PK players will get a SHP or 2 and some great one's almost never do. Guys who PK do usually get a bonus in shot blocks IMO.

This would never happen but if you were either team would you do this trade

To the Islanders

Ryan Kesler, Chris Tanev or Kevin Bieksa, Hunter Shinkaruk, Eddie Lack and a 1st

to Vancouver

John Tavares

That's the entire trade I don't care if we give up to many players. If Im the new York Islanders I'm definitely thinking about that.

And no im not offering that for another player John Tavares is who I would want.

Throw huge money at Vanek in the offseason
Buy out booth
Vanek Tavares Kassian
Sedin Sedin Burr
Higgins Horvat Hansen
Santorelli Richardson Sestito

rebuild complete

I'd rather target Malkin or Crosby personally. What about Perry from Anaheim?
