But there has been enough concern about this issue.

Teams not setting lineups artificially improves their draft position next year.

It's not fair to guys who are actually setting their rosters everyday but still struggling.

Everyone will miss from time to time, but we don't want it happening excessively.

I also don't mind setting anybody's roster if they're going to be busy or away for a short period, as long as they notify me the night before (commissioner can only set other rosters the day before).

Just looking at the 2008 draft, Stamkos with 222 goals to date, next closest in Jordan Eberle with 87. Damn that kid is good!!

Because I've had enough complaints about a few guys not setting lineups, there will be a penalty for missing too often.

I haven't worked out the details yet, but I'll post them on here and the pool board when I do.

I won't start penalizing until after the Olympic break, though, so everyone has a chance to find out before it starts.

Timmins from MTL(their head scout) apparently is a draft guru as well. I bet you'd have to ask for other team's permission though. I believe one of the head scouting guys for us used to work with the Blues not too long ago, good move since they've drafted relatively well.

By "short period" I was thinking 4 or 5 days max.

But since I pity you for the upcoming in-law visit , I might go a bit longer.

Just try to find time to set it for a bit, and let me know via PM the other days.

It seems that everyone has stepped back from the ledge, or maybe it's really cold out there. Every GM has a hard job in this league, it's easy for the average fan to get upset. It's just a game for some and big business for others. Stay warm everyone and have a good night. I'm sure we can start up another lynch mob tomorrow and go after Gillis.

The drafting since the scouting overhaul has been much better overall (last 2 drafts).

But yeah, TB has been exceptional for a while, especially with their later picks.

You expect to be getting sure-fire NHLers with most of the spots they've picked at in the 1st round the last 5 years or so.
