prospect? - Jurco_28
Yeah Archibald's a good physical prospect. Played well earlier in the season when called up. He likely tops out as a 4th liner but he seems well suited there and I think most here preferred him there over Weise. |

Nevada releases betting numbers for Super Bowl. $119M wagered ($21M more than last year), $19.6M won by books ($12.4M more than last year).
A $100m profit for one day's work? - AlexF
$10M of that was Mayweather, so over half their profits were from him! |

I respect guys going all in but what he should have known the writing was on the wall once Rob Ford threw on a Broncos jersey. |

Tough to say. His skillset is more top 6 material but question marks remain on his small frame and just how skilled his skillset really is. Above all though this guy just needs a solid run of games without injury to know what he's capable of. |

Tough to say. He is undersized and has battled injuries but he is a good skater and has soft hands.
Its going to be tough for him to move up the depth chart with Henrik and Kesler in front of him. |

No way that guy would admit to losing $10M on the Broncos. Would make him sound like a loser. He probably would have taken a pic of himself with fat stacks if the Broncos had won though. |

It's at least respectable now. I'm just guessing though, haven't seen official lines yet.... |

Don't over evaluate Diaz. Put it this way, Bergevin has been known to be shopping Diaz for about 2-3 weeks and this is the best offer he got for the guy.
Shows you what other GM's in the league think of him.
He is an NHLer, just a bottom 6 type of guy with 10 mins a game - willey101
In Diaz's 3 seasons in Mtl he has logged top 4 Dman minutes in TOI game.
I like Diaz. He's not a prototypical NHL Dman he plays a more positional game but is a good skater who can make a nice breakout pass & has some offensive skill. Vancouver. Only needs him to be a bottom pairing #6 Dman. He can do thatveasily but has top 4 potential. He only has 162 games of NHL experience so still has years of growth potential. Sign him to a 2 year extension. At reasonable money &·trade Edler in the off season when more teams can take his contract.
I heard the offer at the draft from Detroit was Tatar, Sheahan & Smith. Not Nyquist. |

I know that he's loaded up the ass and is a cocky (frank)er, but does he ever donate any money to a charity? At least to a 3rd world country or something.
Side note, can't believe Vince a Young blew 20 million dollars and is broke now. |

same way darren mccarty went bankrupt. when u start giving out money to every "friend" that comes around the corner and then buy all kinds of stuff for yourself it wont last long. |

(frank)er bought out a whole first class section of a plane just so him and his buddies could have it all to themselves and I heard he blew like 5 grand one night at (frank)ing TGI Friday's. |

Diaz has barely played during the Habs recent slump and there's a reason. Soft as wet, one ply toilet paper. Afraid of corners. Can't move anyone. Plus he stopped making good offensive plays. Beaulieu was given his spot and is doing more than Diaz did. I'm very happy to be rid of him for a 4th line checker with size and experience. Oh and he's waaaaay cheaper and is a rfa. Diaz can be a 4-5-6 d man and play 2nd PP IF he finds his game again. It just wasn't happening at all anymore after his concussion. It's like he is a completely dif player free that injury. Now we have almost 7 mill in deadline space - SmielmaN
Mtl is 2-5-1in the last 8 games that Diaz has been a healthy scratch & Beaulieu has played ahead of him. |

So what are you willing to give up for Edler? How about Max P? |
|
|
|
If Edler is moved the Canucks need to continue to restock the prospect pool but still get a top 9 forward.
If Detroit was in fact willing to move 3 young players. 2 that had shown they were ready to start their NHL careers at the last draft in Tatar & Smith with Sheahan that's the type of deal I would like to see.

Sestito's too tall for the Canadiens. - KB3Point0
I'm glad it was Weise and not Sestito, whom I've actually started to come around liking. For a guy that gets 4 minutes a game, 5 goals (playing with plugs) is pretty damn good, not to mention 82 hits and of course the lead in league penalty minutes. He has a good worth ethic (from the games I've watched) and seems like a great team-guy. Lastly, he's reasonable young (26) unlike many team's 'enforcers', and he does a lot more (for $750k signed through next year) |

Quite a pleasant surprise. |

Much better return for Weise than I expected.
Obviously a minor move, but Diaz's could help the PP a bit.
Good to have another RHD. - Fosco
My father who lives in MTL last year said that Diaz was a pretty good Dman |
