Well they do have to do their work at sometime.
- Yeti1181

Start at 9:00 after the morning commute. To be fair, its rare that they're out there and if it's an emergency then fine. It's the general small pot hole repair during rush hour that frustrates.

if we trade cody franson. we will all regret it. mark my words. if we can get him under a decent deal/term keep him
- lotempio8119

Will we regret the fact he always seems to be on the ice when the opposition scores? Good thing he offsets his horrible plus minus somewhat by scoring a few himself.

I am not sure about that. Montreal has been under construction for about 20 years straight.. Terrible roads.

Union has no rights to dictate shift blocks since the service is required beyond typical business hours, can only dictate extra pay for night shifts and whatnot, and restrictions on amount of non-standardized shifts forced on an employee.
- mcleafs

sure they can. union agreements dictate shift times all the time.

i dont claim to know if they did.. but to assume a city manager purposely chooses those times for shift change is just (frank)ing stupid.

nobody would intentionally do that.. no one. so either the city manager is (frank)ing bonkers or the union is dictating the shift times.

I tend to believe the latter

thats my point.. it isnt the city that determines something like that.. its typically a union demand

the city most likely has their hands tied when it comes to shift schedules.

- Dozzer

No. Supervisors make the schedules for work orders. It's a bureaucrat telling those guys where to be at 8am. I don't care if they 'start' their shift at 7am ...the union doesn't tell them where to be at precisely 8am. Better planning is all I'm asking.

It's all part of the planning they have to make sure it makes sense for them, unfourtanetly it will interfere but thats life. Everybody job interferes with someone else's

so your issue is with the actual schedule.. not the shift change?

so why do you have an issue at 8am again?

exactly what would we regret?

point production from the blueline is an easy thing to come across nowadays.

and considering he sucks ass at every other facet of playing defense i am not sure where this regret is going to come from.

- Dozzer

i just think theres more upside then downside. hes got size and a great shot. yes his skating can be better. i can just see him going to another team and really come on as a player.

but if he wants anything around 3.5-4 mil send him on his way

I live just off Queen in the west end - I can't really complain about the streetcars. The passengers that spit on the floor though .....(frank).

Well prepare to be shocked (for the worse) but I happen to know for a fact that it is not a union dictated term for the TTC. So bonkers wins.

at 27 there wont be a hell of a lot more change.

he hits a lot.. sure.. but prolly cause he gives the puck away a ton too.

i'd rather move him than pay out 3.5 for him

which is what he will cost... his point production alone will win him that in arbitration

Surely the filling of a pot hole on a busy commuter road can occur between 9 and 4 rather than at 8am or 5pm - it worsens congestion, adds to incidents of road rage, kills trees and the environment more generally,

what else ....oh ya

...causes cancer, depletes the ozone, makes the Leafs suck, causes me to have to hold in my pee longer and therefore injures my bladder.

No, friend of mine has been a supervisor for what feels like forever. His uncle got him in, worked for the TTC since like 84 or something.

I pretty much personally blame him for everything TTC as much as I can.
