RC seems to like his effort - might see Orr and McLaren sitting when all the injured guys get back. But he'll keep atleast one of them in the pressbox so he can put them in the lineup for "emotional" games.

Personally I think, when healthy, McLaren is a better skater and fighter than Orr. I see him being the 12/13th forward long term. Orr looks close to expiry if not past due.

I'm afraid it's Orr's last year I believe, at least with the Leafs anyways.

I'd like TBay to take a dump and the Leafs and Habs to get on a role so they can meet up in round 1. We need to rekindle that rivalry with a good playoff series.
- The Law

And I could pay off my mortgage and set up trust funds for my kids by selling my tickets.

This town would shut down if the Leafs played the Habs in the playoffs.

Montreal probably wouldn't care.

But Toronto? Oh, baby.

Anyone know the lines at practise today, or the line up for the game?

The Lupul-Kadri-Kulemin line has looked great recently, and obviously the JVR-Bozak-Kessel line has been on fire as well, wonder what's going to happen when Bolland and Clarkson come back... I think all 3 lines need to have a defence-first kind of player and that is why Bozak just fits better with Line 1 than Kadri does. Kulemin is one of our better defensive forwards and seems to clean up for Kadri/Lupul. I wouldn't mind keeping them together for the time being and rolling a third line of Raymond-Bolland-Clarkson with Bolland being the defensively responsible player on that line. 4th line of whatever's clever - Bodie/Ashton-McClement-D'Amigo/Orr/McLaren... it makes me wonder where the longer term fit for Holland would be IF they resign Bolland... maybe he shifts to the wing on third line considering I doubt Raymond gets a new contract.
- Lavy13

Well said

I think the short term fit for Holland would be him continue to be a depth center who can clear waivers. I doubt that he'd make the team out of camp next year even if they tried him on the wing.

I was at the game (as The Law said, good memories).

It was the second goal that was the soul-crusher. Lalime inexplicably tried to save it with his catcher by reaching across his body. Simple blocker save, push the puck to the corner, and the Sens are still in it.

After that goal, the crowd was all over the Sens. The game was over.

Funny thing about the youtube clip - it's easy to forget that Domi could actually play the game. Something to think about when you see Orr on our roster today.

- Atomic Wedgie

Was my thought exactly when I saw him setup the goal in the clip. totally forgot something like that

Sure they would. They can say their biggest rivals are the Bruins right now, and they are, and ours are the Sens as much as the Habs.

But once that series starts and the games get going, it's going to be nuts and utter chaos from both sides. I think a playoff match up between these two teams is decades in the making for both sides of the respective fan bases.

fact is weed impairs judgement and you shouldnt be driving with your judgement impaired

end of argument.

- Dozzer

don't disagree. Was just countering your point. Aggressive driving is generally seperate from marijuana usage.

I don't like when people try to blame the drug for something it didn't do.

It's like people who blame alcohol for violence. My friends and I have been beyond drunk numerous times and none of us have ever felt the need to fight someone, or stab someone, etc. Those people were violent people already, the alcohol just made them lose control over their ability to control their violent behaviour

Orr is 90% useless now and a liability in our own end.... Dont know why McLaren doesnt get more playing time. Cant we sit Orr some nights? He barely fights anymore, whats the point of having him.
- CarlitoBrigante

I think McLaren's been battling some injuries all year. The hand early and I think he's still fighting something. Neither one of them has found any kind of rhythm this year.

I look at Boston and you give a guy like Thornton credit for being able to take a meaningful shift. But in reality he's a poor skater who has trouble in his own end. The difference is he plays with Campbell and Paille and those guys have played together for 3 or 4 years. They've got rhythm.

I'd like to see MacLaren-McLement and another defensively sound checker form a nice 4th line. Not sure if Ashton or Bodie can be that guy but maybe. Maybe Broll is getting close too?

Neil will want too much money.
4th lines should contain a lot of low, budget contracts of players on entry level deals.
Bodie is a prime example. In the system, we also have Broll, Devane, and Carrick

trade Raymond... replace him with Holland. if they need a fill in for JvR if he's out sick - use Holland on the wing. there's nothing that Raymond does that Holland can't do.

As much as this pains me to say: the one player you could neva get from the sens is Chris Neil. The guy actually enjoys playing for the sens and has loyalty for some reason. He must be buying that cup is coming soon bullpoop from Eugene Melnyk.

Agreed, I don't want to see Orr or McLaren on the team anymore either, I really think that Ashton has proven himself to be an effective player in that role and just better in every facet of the game except fighting (he will do it, he's just not good at it lol). D'Amigo has got wheels I like seeing him flying out there as opposed to ankle skaters with no skill.

Probably the closest thing to Tie Domi today. Domi was a unique and valuable talent.

Marlies remain an option and at their salaries it won't effect the Cap much at all.

Realistically though teams carry 13 or 14 forwards. Orr can eat popcorn if necessary.

May Ray has more speed and has way more scoring in him.

Let's not get too high on Holland. He's a bottom 6 center.

I want our 2nd rounder back. Actually I want Colborne back before the Carlyling.

Do they also drive aggressively while sober, though?

Alcohol lets your inner bumhole(or inner whatever) out more, because it's a depressant.. it gets rid of your inhibitions.

THC has the opposite effect, if anything.

It's odd that somebody would be more aggressive after smoking a joint than when sober.

Colborne doesn't have the game to ever be a good top6 fwd and Holland has more grit to maybe fit into the bottom 6 one day. Holland > Colborne every day.
