We've got some injuries at D and have no one running the PP. He might have been brought in to shore up depth for the season considering he's a UFA on July 1.

Above all Dale Weise absolutely sucks as a player so just dumping this guy for a 7th rounder would have been enough for me.

yeah i don't even imagine Weise being more than a healthy scratch... unless he fills in for Parros, who is probably worse than Weise. i'm thinking maybe Montreal wanted the extra cap space?
