What youth…where are you thinking they're coming from? We have two players who could possible make the team, they're not going to make us better than the top teams in the West. The point is to win a Stanley Cup.

Really there is a Cup involved. I have faith for my team to win a cup every year until they don't make the playoffs or knocked out of them. I still believe.

I was just pointing out my core and who to build around things aren't as bleak as everyone thinks. Yes we need improvements. No we don't have a lot of youth but we can if the right moves are made. We have some great prospects and some younger guys on the team right now getting better all the time. It is a delicate balance of youth and experience. I don't believe in the blow it all up we suck mentality. Its hard to watch your team struggle but we are not out of the picture yet.

Yes we most definitely are "out of the picture" - I suspect we won't make the playoffs AND Gillis won't make any deals. He'll remain on his course, whatever that is.

I'm not saying every player should be traded, that's ridiculous! But some core players need to be moved to start over, unless this team can pull an Evander Kane out of their ass for Horvart and Shinkaruk (which would put me on suicide watch) we're done for.

Like I said last night, plan for an upswing in about four to five years when all the power-house teams in the West are right where we are. As it stands we don't have a chance against the top teams in the West over a seven game series.

The core ( or all the guys with NTC's ) will keep this team competitive enough that we will miss out on top 15 picks for the next couple of years. The FA market seems to get more inflated every year. I just hope Gillis has a plan to make sure the upswing is good enough to make the team a true contender.

I have no idea what's going to happen, but I'd sure as (frank) like the management group to have a long term plan instead of just being reactionary all the time.

I think most of this fan base is in agreement: if Gillis makes a trade at the Deadline for a rental player there could be riots. I would love to see Gillis make a good old fashion hockey trade ie Edler for ROR.

I don't know look at Anaheim they tanked last season and now they are at the top of the league. I had them picked as my sleeper for the season. So far they are proving me right.

NTC , why the fuss....just means limited teams to deal with......Likes to see a Core player moved! ....Kesler said its "getting very OLD" ..losing, im sure he'd be a good Pawn! to NYR ? FLYERS? for who?? in return.........maybe REDWINGS..his hometown??
