Last yr was a great draft for the canucks. IMO no team had as good of draft as Vancouver. Sadly drafts like this are rare to never in vancouver

id like to see edler here too but i think that ship has sailed unless the price for him comes down.

idk how desperate they are for Edler. detroit has put a lot of time and energy into these young guys. theres probably a list of names they have that they have that are only available for a star player. Like a Nash or Weber im sure they would include all those names you name. For a Edler, im not sure.

I agree, but the canucks have very few assets that could acquire a high end top 6 forward. None of the mentioned guys come close to currently filling that role. In many ways Gilles is weakening his current team to make his team better in the future

there seems to be a lot more potential NHL players then there is spots on a nhl team.

Perhaps Gilles is sitting on RoR for Edler. Value wise its fair and makes sense for both teams. RoR even fits the mold of the type of player Gilles has targeted in drafting and trades since the finals loss
