This season under murray he's had his worse +/-, now idk how much you can put into that but it's time to be realistic about his defensive abilities.

I like the guy but clearly the flyers don't think he's close to making the team. I mean at this point even if a top 6 guy gets hurt i feel like they would call Mcginn or Newbury or Holmstrom. Tbe guy scores a goal in his only NHL game and hasn't even sniffed another call up since then, that should tell you how highly they regard him.

It's looking like this will go the way of Maroon, guy puts up very good numbers for phantoms, never gets a shot, guy gets traded to another team. I hope he finds his niche on some other team. He's got skills sets that are fun to watch.

We don't ship anything, because we learned first hand in 2010 that if a team gets in, anything can happen. Selling off guys means you decrease your chances of getting in.

If they can get an upgrade at D, at the expense of no more than Read and a 2nd, do it. Otherwise, no trading Schenn, Schenn, Coots, Simmer, or anyone.

Besides, who would they "sell"? Hartnell who has a NMC? Grossmann? Mez? Point is everyone who's a selling candidate really isn't a candidate at all.

true, but we also learned that eventually your glaring weaknesses are exposed and you don't win and merely add to the mis-perception that you're closer than you are to being an elite team. when you watch the flyers play boston and chicago it is easy to see the difference and recognize we weren't really that good in 2010.
