WTF are you talking about?
Do you watch the team?
 - Whiskey-Tango
I'm talking about the guy who in the defensive end looks like a guy staring at a mall map in metrotown. |

Sounds like the Canucks are gonna have to call up another Dman with Weber going down tonight.
If Gillis doesn't make a trade soon, there will be nobody left to trade. |

I think Stanton is one of the least of the team's concerns. |

Trading because of injuries doesnt make sense right now. And even tho Gillis would try and save his job like Foco says,,,, he now has the perfect excuse to survive another season and make sure the window is completely closed after trading off a generation of prospects and picks.... |

The thing is, who on our depth chart or prospect list could come in and provide anywhere near the same sort of versatility/production etc as Hansen provides? - Zogg
I agree with this. Lefty, this prospect pool isn't very strong compared to other teams..we're not like TB who actually has to worry about potentially letting guy like Purcell go because they have young kids playing very well in the AHL and racking up points knocking on the door. The Canucks would trade Hansen and then hope one of their "projects" breaks through....which team should really be opening up roster spots for kids? I'd say teams like TB, the Canucks just don't have that young depth that's ready yet. |

Trouble is, we might never have that level of depth. This organization doesn't draft anywhere near as well as TB or CHI. We're a veteran laden team that needs to either rebuild on the fly or rebuild outright. If you don't draft well, then you need to tactically move assets just as they are beginning their decline in exchange for youth. It's tough and it requires a skilled GM to make it work. |

Those teams basically gave away assets for draft picks and cap space. I'm prepared to see that happen. |

I was quite happy they lost tonight.
Here are the odds of winning the draft lottery
30TH 25%
29TH 18.8%
28TH 14.2%
27TH 10.7%
26TH 8.1%
25TH 6.2%
24TH 4.7%
23RD 3.6%
22ND 2.7%
21ST 2.1%
20TH 1.5%
19TH 1.1%
18TH .8%
17TH .5%
25TH is only 6pts behind us. I say tank and go for a top 5 pick.
What would the 5th pick and Edler get us?

Did he actually get arrested? I've only seen that he was ticketed. |

Vantel will like this disturbing stat:
"Since March 21st, 2012 Daniel has lit the lamp a measly 25 times in 107 games. As a frame of reference, David Booth has scored 22 goals in 106 games as a Canuck, and consistently gets skewered for it." |

So, which contending teams are in a position to trade for Kesler and how much would they give up for him? |
