I have a Hungarian Vizsla. Great dogs, maybe a little high energy for some people but nothing a half hour at the beach everyday can't fix.

What Gillis has to do is prepare for the upcoming trade deadline. He has to decide if he wants to "add pieces", or continue the "reset" of this organization.

We all know what the right decision is, maybe he does too, but theres more to this sport than winning. 3-4 Playoff games is bank for Aquillini, and unless he is prepared to lose that money; I dont expect anyone being sold off this roster.

Gillis, Aquillini, Gilman, and the rest of upper management are going to wrestle with this decision, and I hope they will make the right one.

They should get rid of one of our top paid D-men, Hansen (who has a NTC which kicks in next season, and Burrows. These players aren't necessarily "bad", but I think its the next step in this retool.

Hopefully they can get some prospects, picks, plus CAPSPACE to really right this ship. A lot of fans underestimate how hard it is to get capspace in this NHL, but it is a valued commodity for any team tied in long term contracts.

This team can pull a fast turnaround by just shedding some salary and bringing in some new blood. They need IMO a RH PMD, a Top 9 Centre, and a Top 6 Winger. If they can pull these moves by next season, Gillis would earn my unwavering respect and support.

You win. Vito doesn't get a choice I live in a condo. I tried to use the port a pottie for dogs on my balcony but didn't work with the boys and they missed a lot. My neighbour underneath was less then impressed but she is also a female dog so meh.

For is cap hit (7.5 ??) I'd be cautious he's defensive game is good, nothing special. He puts up great offensive numbers but keep in mind he generally plays with the malkin line or crosby line that's is going to inflate your numbers a fair bit.


Edit: not sure about pp but Crosby, Kunitz, jokinen, malkin and letang is a lethal pp.

See that's what I worry about the elite title. I think he's elite offensively because of who he plays with if you put him on a team with less offensive talent then pitts (basically everyone) he's going to just be a very good offensive talent while be a good defensive game.
