That crazy old fart really screwed things up as far as the on-ice product goes. Same can be said for today though, mediocre team with fans that would pay through the nose to see a poop product regardless. Makes for good business I guess.

The whole team is having a a terrible year by our standards bud, but that doesnt mean that players no longer hold value.

Earlier, Yeti contemplated if maybe Letang's value would drop if he played somewhere else. He pointed out that maybe the reason Letang was so good was because he played with Malkin, Crosby ETC. If you were a GM trying to forecast who would score more goals with Crosby, who would it be? Burrows & Edler or Clarkson and Gleason?

Just to add to the whole van vs TO debate since 1993 which is a good benchmark for everyone.
