I missed the game but apparently I didn't miss much.
Who the hell scheduled the Penguins to be in Dallas then come home for just one game only to fly out to LA for the next game? Stupid. |

Jagr. Jagr. Jagr.
Whether he's available or not(said he'd rather not be moved) he needs to be honored by the Penguins when he's done. I really hope that he's able to come back though. That'd be unreal. |

Yeah, Friday night.
Kopecky, Goc and/or Gilbert would be guys from Florida I'd like. McGinn and Talbot from Colorado. Just my 2 cents. |

Don't know how realistic it is but the Devils will have to start losing for there to be a realistic opportunity. |

would it really take a 1st like you have stated before?
I just dont see RS using our 1st for a free agent... he needs to move that first for like an eberle or kane... someone who will be here for a couple of yrs... |

Our 1st is more like a 2nd. You aren't getting the Eberle's and Kane's with it |

The Jagr-led Devils are going to knock us out of the playoffs this year, aren't they?
Maybe Malkin can bring Morozov back from Russia for a potential Devils playoff series. |

It would be right in line with the last 2 playoffs. |

I don't see how they're make it as a wildcard. teams in the atlantic seem to be taking both of those spots. but I wouldn't be shocked to see them and the Rangers or Flyers make the playoffs. either way, that'd be a fun first series between those teams |

we might have to get jagr and cammy just so no other team can have them come playoff time. |

The funny thing is that while numbers favor a few other teams it's hard to believe they'll just get the door closed on them. They always to more than expected. Points are very tight. It's not out of the question. |

My problem with the outdoor games are the lame performances that come along. KISS, and this Jersey Boys? performance and what I mean.
And then the games aren't the greatest. - Ben37
That's my problem. It's not a good representation of the game because the ice is not all that great. Of course, one could argue, it's not much worse than what the Pens play on regularly at the Consol.
I understand all the reasons they've added games, but honestly, I'd rather watch the Pens/Hawks on a good sheet of ice.

Unbelievable that after being open for a few years now they haven't corrected that yet.
Still, I can't stay away from hockey...even if it's altered by the conditions outside. I can't wait to get to Chicago in Feb/March. |

Stock and Freidman were just talking about how the Rangers were the first team to adapt and focus on playing a simple game in these conditions.
I sometimes wonder if teams going into these games thinking that they can use the same systems and plays that they use on the ice in their normal rinks. If the teams were quicker to recognize that they can't use those systems put play a dump and chase, bang in the corners game the game would be better and more entertaining in terms of chances and hits. |

I've only caught probably 15 minutes of each last nights and today's game, but the ice and play looked pretty decent in both (especially last night).
Brodeur hasn't been good, but the Devils have not help him at all. Every time I look up, the Rangers have an odd man rush. |

The NHL needs to do more of what they just showed with the ref wearing the camera, and the discussion about the Rangers goal. Really great stuff. |

I agree. Entertainment without them becoming part of the game like baseball umpires and basketball refs sometimes do. The 24/7 stuff shone a light on some of the stuff they can provide for the viewer. Good stuff. |

@Ledger_NJDevils: Brodeur: "Worst ice I ever played hockey on." |

I know with the big lead in the division, the thinking is Shero can afford to wait to address any roster moves
I'm of the school I'd rather he made his moves early, even if he overpays slightly so the team can use the time to build chemistry and different line combo's
I'm not a fan of adding a guy with 15 games left and trying to figure it out on the fly... |

Pure entertainment.
I'm glad the Pens won't be playing a vital game on bad ice. Wouldn't want to see Pens/B's outdoors |
