Kadri, Gleason and Biggs for Spezza? Guy would look good between JVR and Kessel
- GardinerExpress

I think we'd take that in a heartbeat.

I think Sens would take that deal. While none of the 3 are legit top line centers yet, although theres a lot of potential
Having Kadri, Zib, Turris as your centers would be amazing, such youth and skill there.

Don't know a lot about Biggs, just that he's young, former first rounder.

Thank you Brian Murray! Peter Holland just played his 25th game for the Leafs so the Ducks will have 2 firsts and 2 seconds in next years draft.

He just keeps on giving to that franchise

I'm tired of Spezza, Neil and Phillips. Hard to say these guys really stepped up once Alfie left. They were supposed to and have been the biggest disappointments to me.

This is Karlsson, Turris and Zibanejad's team. And I hope Ryan

Hey goalfie, I am tempted to agree with you... I want nothing more than for that first group of guys to provide a "leadership core", but the core - as they used to say in Buffalo - seems to be rotten

Time for the youth movement, no use having leaders who can't lead by example.

P.S., it's great to see ya! These kids have been running rampant on the boards, makes me miss the old days of Ryan Shannon, Anton Volchenkov, etc.

I'm pretty sure he and Peter Regin were battling for a spot in the Top-6 at one point... Lean times, those were

He was kind of like Peter Regin before Peter Regin was Peter Regin, come to think of it...

Speaking of which, you should really go make some Peter Regin jokes over on the Islanders thread sometime, I think they would highly enjoy it

Spezza not skating likd his former self....

Zibanejad plays best at center (brings speed through nuetral zone)...

Michslek skating better...

Michlek - Zibanejad - Spezza

Spezza csn take draws , but 93 drives center

I just might, I feel like some people still may not be aware of how soft he is...

Ryan Shannon had some physicality to his game, and seemed decently durable, but god love him he was just too damn small for the NHL.

Think he's carved out a good living for himself overseas, though.

I believe the core is rotten. It's just become more evident now without Alfredsson. It sucks but we have the youth. Time to move on from the Neils, Phillipss, and Spezzas (and greening).

How is this team gonna survive the falling Canadian dollar???
- Fruitcakenipple

Um... money is relative... just as many chance as any Canadian team to survive economical disasters. The owner might go broke, but if there is a market, for which there most certainly is, the private ownership of any team in financial difficulty can change.

Yeah, really more a proto-Cory Conacher in terms of style of play. Nowhere near as mean, and faster, but still...

I more meant Peter Regin expectations-wise... A lot of folks seemed to think he could slot into a complimentary scoring role at the time... Pretty hilarious in hindsight given that he, like Regin, was just clearly not cut out to be an NHL regular.

Yup, it's taken me a long time to say it, but if by the end of the season Spezza hasn't turned it around, deal him over the summer for any kind of half-decent return. Same with Neil, except I wouldn't be opposed to dealing him as early as the trade deadline.

Let Phillips' contract expire and hope he retires gracefully. We wouldn't get anything of significance for him anyways, may as well let him have the chance to retire a Senator.
