Sometimes I look at old leaf trades when im bored....look at this beauty...did this tampa guy ever play? and who the hell was Andy Rogers?

that trade was the leafs "buying" the 4th round pick. and they ended up forfeiting it over the frogren signing

I remember that trade.

Kolzig was just a money move, he never played for us. Petiot was like a Jesse Blacker if I recall, a guy with the tools and success in the minors, but might not make it.

I know some people who do play in the N. (im sure alot of people here do)

Meh, Hamhuis wanted to play in Vancouver and made it pretty clear. On the other side of the ledger, Sakic made it pretty clear he didn't want to.

Which was total crap because now that type of deal is basically the backbone to making the salary cap work.

Also, considering everything else they let slide, it was bizarre that the league took exception to that.

Yeah, somebody made a post about fishy things some GM's have done...like Bruins trading Thomas to the island when he sitting out the year. And some other instances ( i forget now)
