Hey, I would love to have the guy on our team... If he was a UFA, even for 5 years. But I would not give up one of our two most promising young D for him.

Trust me that would never happen...Gardiner is 23 Gio is 30, Gards has 4 goals Gio has 7. Gardiner has 12 assists Gio has 15...the stats are close offensively and Gardiner will be much better offensively in the future...also the stat that i think matters more for a defense man is plus minus...Gio is -2 and Gards is even and most people think that Gardiner is to irresponsible defensively but Gardiner still has a better plus minus...

Uh, yea. It could ha e something to do with the fact that Gio plays all the tough minutes. Garmin is likely sheltered time and he has played 17 more games than Gio. Gio is, like, 3rd in ppg for D men.

Where should I start?

Giodano has 22 points in 32 games.....0.69 points per game

Gardiner has 16 points in 49 games.....0.33 points per game

I am not saying Gardiner doesn't have a ton of offensive talent....but right now Gio is more than doubling Gardiner's production...

Gio is -2 on a team with the second worst goal differential in the league (-48) which the Leafs are only -9. And not only does he play on a horrid team, he leads that team in AVG ice time. Not only that, but he constantly faces the other teams top lines, making the fact that he is -2 a borderline fcking miracle.

Not only that but he also plays in all situations (both PP and SH) and is a shot blocking machine............

Right now Bozak is undisputedly the better player, he's able to play on the powerplay, the penalty kill, he's be a good stabilizing presence at the center spot. Might even be the #1C!
