this was all a few weeks ago, I was driving up north to do a photoshoot. Should have just rescheduled, rather than doing it in the bad weather. - Feeling Glucky?
Well that clown is probably going to sue his own insurance company and your insurance company. He has two years to serve the Statement of Claim. Hopefully you don't get served. |

Where should I start?
Giodano has 22 points in 32 games.....0.69 points per game
Gardiner has 16 points in 49 games.....0.33 points per game
I am not saying Gardiner doesn't have a ton of offensive talent....but right now Gio is more than doubling Gardiner's production...
Gio is -2 on a team with the second worst goal differential in the league (-48) which the Leafs are only -9. And not only does he play on a horrid team, he leads that team in AVG ice time. Not only that, but he constantly faces the other teams top lines, making the fact that he is -2 a borderline fcking miracle.
Not only that but he also plays in all situations (both PP and SH) and is a shot blocking machine............
Shame on you

So by your logic, by the time you're ready to compete, Phaneuf will be 31 and Kessel will be 2nd ( and too old.
If yoh guys are going to maximize opportunity with those 2 these are the kind of trades hou need to make now. 50 years of futility seems to have you all frightened about trading. - TandA4Flames
Jesus, you're as bad as the guy using +/- in his argument.
Tell me again why Giordano isn't leading the Flames to the promised land. |

Most Leaf fans (not HB leaf fans LOL) would jump at Gio for Gardiner...
It would be a great trade for Toronto.

It might have something to do with the entire rest of his team.
Just a thought. |

well, it's the same company, so they would have taken an extra long look at it anyways.
He's probably not going to do anything with the "back pain", since doctors aren't helping fraudsters out anymore... and when I asked him if he wanted to do 3 quotes on the car and I'd pay the lowest, he said no.... so he knew the number he gave me was BS as well.
he's probably gonna get 200 bucks from insurance to get it buffed out... though I'm not even sure it was actually embedded in his car, and not just stuck on with some snow or something. |

+/- is a flawed stat but Leaf fans love pulling it out when showing how good Ph9 has been this year....
I guess we all use stats to prove our points and then poop on them when others try to do the same thing.
I don't like plus minus, especially for top minute dman, it's a useless stat. Like wins/losses to analyze a pitcher. |

Ok I've got it. Just trade us Monahan+2nd for Gardiner+1st.
Close to the same points plus Gardiner has a better +/-.
Done deal. |

Cant see the Leafs winning tonight..... back to back games, rested Colorado team that skates very quick, low oxygen up there in Denver.....gonna be a tough one...
If they do win, they are the greatest Leaf team in the history of mankind!! |

It's about context... if a guy gets the hardest minutes agaisnt the best players, and has a good +/-, on a team that's a collective -... it's a good sign.
But using +/- on it's own to compare two guys playing different roles, on different pairings on different teams, against different competition... well... it's pretty irrelevant. |
