I like Ott and I think Moulson will have alot of value come deadline. I could see a team like LA or Pittsburgh looking at him. - Dwight K. Schrute

Miller will be on the Capitals or Blues by trade deadline. I dunno what would be coming back but it won't be that big of a ransom.
Hope to God they get something in return for the big 3 in Buffalo. I'm hoping it's nothing but future assets like prospects and picks. I want the Sabres to select McDavid or Eichel come 2015 draft.
Huge 1st year for Tim Murray. |

When will you get it through you head . It will not happen at that price. We have a new GM that is not going to let his first transaction be hosed on the hottest goalie in the league right now. Keep posting the same things over and over. It will not make it come true. Let's hope your GM has more sense.
Plus making an aggressive move shows Miller you believe in him and it gives you the inside track at signing him before he becomes a UFA. - Maximum Signal
Agreed Max Signal.
Miller will get a pretty good young package including a 1st and a top flight prospect. It will be an all out bidding war at deadline day. |

Sabres signed Ville Leino to a $40,000,000 contract.
Does anyone one on this site do any research or do they just type the first thing that comes out of thier @$$.
I will be the first to admit that i do but up some insane true offers, but that's all in good fun.
And isn't that what this site is about.
The people that get offened on this site needs to grow up fast.
Ville Leino contract is 6 years 27,000,000 and he is in year 3 of his contract.
But most importantly i don't think Mr. Pegula gives a crap about leino's contract. |

They need to keep Allen, unless they're trading him for a much younger elite goalie. In three years, this team will have a Top 9 that includes Backes, Oshie, Steen, Tarasenko, Schwartz, Jaskin, Rattie, Sobotka and probably a 2nd line C they acquire this offseason. The blueline will still have JBo, Petro, Cole and Shattenkirk in the Top 4. The team will still be very young and VERY talented. Allen is their goalie of the future and I just can't see them mortgaging that future for a Cup run this year by risking being in the same boat in three years - looking for an upgrade in net to be a Cup favorite and not just a Cup contender. - bluenatic411
i don't know about Allen being elite, yeah he is looking good but the blues make average goalies look good so i wouldn't read too much into it. what if it was miller and Peterson (or makarov) for Allen and a 1st. |

Because of placement of St. Louis firsts , It will take two first . St. Louis first might as well be a 2nd - Maximum Signal

If the deal includes Holtby in return do it.The kids just off his game a bit like Thomas the season before Bostons cup run. |

Are the Blues, or are they not, on the cusp of contending for a cup?
Then you trade a young potential stud for a chance to bring something that hockey fans in Missouri have never seen.
Miller may just be what that team needs to put them over the top. You sacrifice a young stud - and good lord, you horder , you guys certainly have enough of them - to win it all.
And Halak is not Miller, or else this conversation would be moot.
If your asking me if I would trade Grigorenko for a missing piece that would give me a better chance than not to win the cup, something our city has yet to see either, then I would tell you 100% YES. - Powerslave
You don't trade a cornerstone franchise stud when you don't have to and the Blues won't have to part with any of these guys to get Miller.
Buffalo has next to no leverage to work with.

"If there is one team which likes to make bold moves and isn't afraid to take a chance it is Chicago."
You lost me there pal. You mean the team that didn't make a deadline deal in 2010 or 2013, years in which they won the cup? Bold moves ahead? What are you talking about? |

There will be other takers. That is the problem, St Louis fans think there are no options. Like I said Your GM will come around if St Louis wants to take a serious run at the cup. Damn shame if he does not , you have a team there that is so close. - Maximum Signal
Because Halak has no playoff experience.
The Blues look indestructible right now, if it ain't broke don't fix it. |

I take it you don't watch a lot of Blues games in general.
In a 7 game series I'd pick them over anybody. |

No is suggesting a cornerstone of the franchise. Good prospects or picks yes. St Louis needs to win 1 cup before you plan on winning multiple ones . The 30 team NHL just does not work that way . As Steve Winwood said - " when you see a chance , take it "

I will say this. If/When the trade happens, Buffalo fans will think they got too little, while the team the acquires Miller will think they gave up too much. |
