Wait. Is this an e4 that teams are talking to each other?
What the hell is that? So it's not an e5? either they're talking or they're not

So you are pretty sure that the Habs and Kings are talking on the phone but not 100% sure?

I find this hilarious (e5)

Subban for Mitchell and we have a deal.
- willey101

LA can't afford two similar contracts for Subban and Doughty. Maybe if Regehr's contract can be unloaded somewhere, but doubt it.

my favorite part about hockey is how much fun white folks have calling Subban 'Pernell', both vocally and in writing you can almost see the self-satisfied pseudo-smirk for whatever reason they have.

Kings want to add scoring, tell me who on the Habs that LA would want other that Patches than can score? Unless Habs are gonna deal Gallagher for size in Clifford.

What's everyone's favourite scotch? I'm looking for some new ones to try, something around $100. Doesn't matter smokey or not, just something new.
- dshiddy

Try Dimple Pinch.

Remember when you told me I was nuts? That the Oilers were SO MUCH BETTER than Colorado? We had no depth, etc?

How is that going, NIH?

Hmm.. you are the troll. I got banned over your garbage.

- DutchCanSaveUs

The Oilers one 5 cups like 50 years ago - beat that. It's only a matter of time before they do it again. They just need to find the next Gretzky, Messier, and Tikanen.

Briere for future considerations

This is just Ek looking for someplace for one of his favorite nicest players he has ever met Briere to play, and with the Flyers = Kings connection, Ek thinks it is a perfect fit.

Impossible to say who is an untouchable but the names Pacioretty, Subban, Price, Galchenyuk are probably right now the only guys who simply cannot be touched.

With that said, if it's a rumour then I doubt anything happens here because MTL is so closed lipped but for arguments sake i wonder if that big piece from LA is Kopitar?

Kopitar is a great talent, big forward and he was a player the Habs were huge on in 2005 when they ultimately took Price. I also know that the Habs have been big on Clifford as well.

So I ask if this makes sense?

Kopitar and Clifford to Montreal in exchange for Tomas Plekanec, Lars Eller, rights to Dalton Thrower, choice of Tim Bozon or Sebastien Collberg and a high pick?

- willey101

no, it does not make sens on the kings end. Franchise centers like kopitar are a rare breed, and Plekanec is a huge downgrade..decent second liner that will get about 50 pts, but getting a 3rd liner in Eller and a prospect/pick is just not worth it.

If the habs asked what it would take to land Kopitar, La would ask that it start with Galchenyuk then add +++

habs would have to take back a dirty salary just to give Briere away, pretty much everyone except Bergevin knew this guy was done...the year left on his contract is the killer.

Kings don't have any bad contracts that they would ant to get rid off.

And it is not that bad for the Kings if he provides that "Playoff scoring" that people talk about, and if he has tow big talented guys on his line he could do just that.

Lot of and's there, but it is possible if the Kings don't want to give up much for a maybe
