Nash will be good - he was in Vancouver - he will be in Sochi. - Woderwick
yup |
|
|
|
that changes things how?
he got 6.5million because of his big point producing seasons.. he has regressed offensively ever since.. and now he is approx. a 35P guy who is an average shutdown defender at best. - Dozzer
Not average. He's on track for that this season but that's not average.
Last season he was on track for nearly 48 points.
He will put up #'s again I'm sure of it. |

QoC Dozzer... QoC.
+15 against top opposition. |
|
|
|
yeah damn him and his 54P pace and plus 22 rating.. damn him all to hell - Dozzer
Hey, you put Gunnerson on the St.Louis team and he might get 40 points... so whats your point?
PS. he has 3 goals this year... on pace for 6... All those points are assists (again, it is his team, not him!)
I am not saying Dion is better, I just think Blowmaster doesn't deserve to be there... |

he also has the advantage of being on the ice when kessel's line is
carlyle plays him in gimmie situations as well.. no one mentions that
frankly stats aside.. when you watch him, he routinely gets beat to the outside and his back checking looks about as motivated as a delinquent child at school |

What do you mean how? It's the basis of the whole statement. If everyone thinks he's awful how is he overrated? |

i've been telling these guys for weeks nash makes the team
he is by far the most experienced canadian player for world play under the age of 30 - Dozzer
Eric Staal is one of only 7 Canadians to ever be in the Triple Gold Club...and he's younger than Nash. |

I think he closes lanes down really well and is smart with his stick as well. The only thing I think he can be blatantly bad at is decision making on the point when it comes to pinching. |

How the hell does St. Louis not get on this team? You want fast guys on big ice! He has wheels! He has been there before and is a proven winner!? I just don't understand this. This is the same as the world junior disaster... they looked over some of the best and highly skilled junior players on the planet and then couldn't score in the big game - Hockey_Reverend
If jagr is allowed to play, st louis is allowed to play |

nash ia a natural winger, staal is not
nash has also played in more world tourneys than staal
key cog in many world cup teams while staal was in the playoffs |

I know, but I think he just doesn't have the 'winning edge' (for lack of a better phrase). Is he a good d-man? Sure. But I would rather have a proven winner, with experience... |
