With Bernier, you don't even have to shoot the puck at him... he'll skate out of the net and line it up all nice for you, setting up the perfect wrap around... or, shoot it from over the blue line... he'll over play it... and kiss your 2 points goodbye - SofaKingBored
The puck was in the trapezoid, he couldn't play it. He should have stayed in the (frank)ing net. |

Definitely looks like Bernier is best suited as Reimers backup.
If Leafs are going to have a shot at the playoffs, RC has to swallow his pride and roll with Reimer as the starter - he is the only proven starter on this team.
If he chooses to lose with Bernier then he should be fired when the Leafs miss the playoffs. |

Unless you shoot the puck at him. Bernier will be the number 1 for the future. Get over it and accept it.
Also, accept this...... This team is a .500 - .600 club.... No heart, no leadership, bad contracts and bad systems. The d is bad, we have an overpaid decent dman who played out of position, as is most of our d.
This team needs some major changes. - Fakepartofme
The same ".500 team" made the playoffs last year under Reimer.
When Reimer gets into a rhythm, he is every bit as good as Bernier and actually plays better than .500 hockey. Reimer has had better win% behind worse groups than this.
As I said earlier, Bernier looks worse the longer he plays. Reimer tightens up his game with starts and shots. |

Bernier is just bringing his "one softie per game" average back up to where it belongs. - Leeman4Gilmour
So start him again Thursday and hope he can bottle the softies till another game down the road. |

I'm more disappointed with this team than I was in the Wilson era. That team sucked, this team is talented but refuses to compete night in, night out. - BetterCallSaul
the frustrating part is that its been almost a decade and this team hasn't improved at all. I'll be surprised if they make the playoffs. |

So foolish.
You kids are so silly - Fakepartofme
I think you're wrong about Reimer, but I also think he's wrong about Bernier.
And I think Carlyle is an idiot. Hope everyone noticed the scowl on his face when Kadri's shot from the point worked....he was plenty pissed that the play actually worked and not very happy it was a goal. |

I better go to bed before I get a ban. This team has the talent to compete but just doesn't want to. I don't blame the coach, but blame the do nothing GM. Do you think that Burke would have put up with this? Time for a spelling test. I wonder if any of the Leafs can spell the word "intensity".
