He came here. He's obviously not too concerned with his sanity.

Here is my conspiracy theory about why the Blackhawks are have been prevented from winning every game. Last winter, the maple syrup reserves in Quebec were raided for tens of millions of dollars worth of syrup. This syrup was sold on the black market. Supposedly, the culprits were caught. However, in reality they were not. A Quebec separatist group is actually the culprit. Given the red hot start the Hawks had last year they were worried that Chicago would match the dominance of the Canadiens of yesteryear. The first stealing of the maple syrup was a warning to Canada and the NHL that if Chicago meets the greatness of the Canadiens they will destroy the maple syrup reserves. Given that the reserves are in Quebec and the French hate working more than 32 hours a week and they can not protect the reserves all the time. The Canadian government had nothing it could do but acquiesce to the terrorists demands and they went to Bettman and told him that the Hawks can win the Cup but they can not win more than 60 games.

Did you guys know that that guy above is from Canada (via Lebanon), played goal, and hoped to play puck professionally.

Just sayin'

Tonight we've got Boston at Anaheim in an interesting East/West battle. I predict a three point game, with Ogi in a Buffalo bar watching his favorite part of the game to see who gets the extra point.

The East Coast thing really gets old. Just saw a poll on NHLNet for tonight's game (which is in Anaheim) that showed 65% of viewers picking the Bruins in that game. Always good to run the poll while the whole West Coast is still at work!!

If Ogi is in Buffalo - does that make him a troll on the board?

Just had a half hour long conversation with a couple of Canadian snow birds on their way from Toronto to Fla. They were forced off of the closed section of I-90 by the fuzz, hoping to get back on the road tomorrow. Dude is an 83 year old former OHL and IHL linesman. Pretty interesting guy.

I really don't care anymore, I just want out...but the latest plan is for me to fly out late tomorrow afternoon. Tentatively. Subject to change. Only good news is because I'm supposed to be off tomorrow, I'm into bonus pay territory now.

Well if you weren't flying I would say sit in the bar, watch sports, get stinko and then get a good ten hours sleep. Your'e all good.

Even deadheading you're still technically on duty, so the getting stinko'd part is pretty much out of the question anyways...but I can appreciate the sentiment.

Worst storm in decades supposedly, but I'm still hopeful that we will get out late tomorrow. The forecast seems to support that notion as possible. *Fingers crossed*

FAA says 8, My company says 12. I save most of my drinking for off days...cheaper that way anyways. Hotel bars are a ripoff.
