I can't see Bowman trading away a rostered player or any defensive depth unless something significant were to come in return. If Bowman does make a trade for a bottom 6 forward, I'd look for either Morin or Pirri and/or picks to be used to get that forward.

I agree, but any trade that does not involve a rostered player is limited to a player making $1.1M or less.

They needed a more shutdown type D-man. They wanted Marc Staal to be this player but injuries and poor play didn't allow them much choice for left-handed d-men.

After Keith and Bouwmeester, Hamhuis and Giordano were the next 2 in line I feel. There wasn't much there is Babcock is so hell-bent on his Lefty/Righty combinations.
