would a Kris Letang for Evander Kane trade make sense for anyone? I know it would for the Penguins, not sure what Winnipeg's situation is like. - SuperHenderson13
They have Buff, Trouba, Bogo, Enstrom and Clitsome all on their current blue line for the next 3 years and Morrissey waiting in the wings. |

yea, if we are going for a pending UFA around 30, let it be Cammy. Guy is a better player who would be better with Crosby and the price would probably be about the same.
but like you said, I would rather look for a younger guy who can solve problems down the road.
If the price was reasonable, I would have no problem going after Evander Kane. - SuperHenderson13
No thank you re Cammy. Kane is s pipe dream. If Shero is going to make a trade for. Top 6 forward, it will be for an rfa; so he can control the rights. |

#58 isnt going anywhere. Shero just commited a long term contract to him. The starting point for Kane is Maata + 1st. |

Gotta think Winnipeg wants forward. They already have 5 quality nhl defensemen with Morrissey on the way. |

Big Buff is supposedly being shopped around. If they unload him, then they will need a No.1 dman. Thats when things get interesting. |

Maatta is completely untouchable and going nowhere. With that said, WPG would be insane to pass up Kane for Maatta straight up, if that was offerred. |

if that's the price, I hang up. not interest in trading Maata. you don't just trade a 19 year old defenseman who is playing like a top 4 defenseman.
cheaper options out there. |

Why would Buffalo want to move a guy like Moulston ? Him and Ott are the kinds of veterans you need on a young team. Im hoping they resign Moultson myself. |

Doesnt matter what they have or who is waiting. Obviously what they have isnt working. Change is needed and is forthcoming. |

I agree. If any dmen get traded, it will be Depres, Martin or possibly Nisk. |

Delicious irony - Pens draft Moulson in 2003, decide not to sign him after he finishes his college career. Now might give up a #1 to get him back..... |

Common sense dictates that adding another offensive defenseman with a 7.25 AAV after this season doesn't really work. They need a 1st line center, secondary scoring and a goalie. |

The Pens really dont need to worry about their top 2 lines. They need to focus on secondary scoring; 3rd & 4th lines. Those lines will have to be clutch come playoffs and steal a game or two when Sid and Malkin's lines get shut down. |

Any way Montreal could get Both Moulson and Ott, have to give up maybe Eller and it would be nice if the Habs could ship Gionta out as well..Throw in Diaz and it could happen. |

If shero gives up another 1st, Im going to quit watching hockey and watch the Pirates.....especially if he gives up a 1st for Moulson! |

Heard Briere + Diaz + 2nd for Ott and Moulson. Would be great i agree, but still highly doubt it will happen |

Pouliot for moulson done deal. Idc how many d prospects we have, they become assets. I dont really wannt trade moulson for a pick between 27-30. |

Edler for Crosby? Ok seriously, how about James Neal? - LeftCoaster
hey now, I'll take edler off your hands and give you the top shot blocking defenseman in the league in Andrew Macdonald, along with Josh Bailey and a 3rd round pick.

and we don't really want to trade a #8 overall pick who is killing it at the WJC for a 30 year old winger who is a pending UFA.
if that's the price for moulson, count us out. |

A great young d-prospect for a pending UFA, yeah seems legit. Buff would be lucky to get a late first for him. |
