Bergeron and Toews will undoubtdely be penalty killers on this team, if you have sharp and Richards there well you have penalty killers more than efficient. Two of these guys are premiere Selke threats and winners

Saying who is going to kill penalties is dumb

- CrustyRooster

If Richards doesn't make it, Couture can easily fill that role.

You failed to mention his 91 hits this year and his compete level. He can pass, shoot and has a very very high hockey IQ.

I bet He gets a lot more respect from coaches and players throughout the league than from 4 or 5 clowns Penguins haters here.

- Orpik44

Nothing against him and the pens, hes a good first liner for you guys but he isnt a good first liner for Team Canada.

James Neal is good, but literally every player EK listed is better overall than Neal... And Neal is literally a one-dimensional player.

As for the talk of St. Louis, it's suicide if Canada doesn't take him (not literally of course), but the man has played his way onto the team and is built for the big ice.

- Flyers_V88

Stop using the word literally incorrectly. If Neal was literally one dinensional he would be a line segment.

Btw, Duchene is one of my favs

But yes, Kunitz can play the game very well and represent Canada. Look at his numbers playing for Canada. He's very useful and very responsible.

so if you think kunitz doesn't belong on the team, you're a clown.
I see.
and who do you cheer for again??
oh right

he's a good player, but I think most outside Pittsburgh don't think he belongs on canadas first line.
I don't think there's much argument that if he wasn't crosbys linemate, he probably wouldn't even be in the conversation. that said, better players might put up even better numbers alongside sid.

I think all of nash, stamkos, Giroux, st.louis, couture, benn, hall, perry, seguin, Duchene, staal, marleau, thornton, getzlaf etc etc are better players.

u can retort with an insult if u like. bu ti don't think many would argue that theyd take all of these guys ahead of kunitz on their teams.

If Kunitz doesn't make it, Duchene and Stamkos as Crosby linemates would be sweet!

I hope they look quick spin arama behind the net centering passes, thats Duchene's signature move this season

I really don't see management selecting Campbell.

Bernier has been good but I don't think he bumps Harding. They'll most likely give the 3rd spot to Smith.

You clearly didn't read or understood what I said. I'm directing my words to the people who call him one dimensional or that he doesn't play at a very good level. He would have a role in team Canada. Something he would do better than most.

Good player. Without a doubt not team Canada worthy unless its because he works well with Crosby. Without a doubt that no crosby, he doesn't get a sniff. He'd be at about 10 goals 25 points.

The skill level would be insane...

How's Duchene's two way game? He's one of the guys I'd want on the PENS alongside Eberle.

oh he's a solid player no doubt. physical, hard working, decent hands etc.

I just don't agree at all that he would be a better first line winger on team Canada than ANY of nash, hall, Duchene, st,louis, stamkos, Giroux, benn, sharp, couture, staal, stamkos, perry, neal, seguin etc etc.
who are all superior players to him

cause we can also agree that he wont be playing anywhere BUT sids wing (at least to start with). cause it'll be the only real reason he made the team...right?

Duchene has a pretty strong 2-way game, underrated since its always compared to O'Reilly, who is just a beast.

Dutch doesnt kill penalties though, but have so many vet PKers on the team, doesnt really have to.

The Duchene, Hall, Eberle line at the world championships that one year was unreal

Clarkson already has a spot, not too sure that there's enough room for Bozak. That and Bryan McCabe's coming out of retirement for the top 4 pairing.

Hall is an absolute disaster in his own end, no way he makes the team nor should he...maybe try getting your team out of last place first

I think you're making a good point about Turin. They had a roster that couldn't play up to snuff. But, that roster was an all-star roster. 2010 had more combinations of players who had chemistry it was unbelievable. Heatly - Thorton - Marleau, all played on one line leading up to the event and played tremendously. It was a two-way, defensively conscious unit with Thorton and Marleau just blowing me away with plays they made without the puck.

But you had other examples in Getzlaf/Perry, Seabrook/Keith, Neidermeyer/Pronger from their Anaheim days.

The 06 team... Had an awesome defense and Goaltending but the forward core was a mess. No chemistry, whatever roles the players were there for was shot before they ever stepped foot on the ice.

I have my own view on the roster, but it differs from others I guess.

- Viktory

Very true. Short tourney, chemistry is a critical element required.
