Your argument is getting old, give it up. Labarbera was just a cheap back up plan in case Raanta struggled. Labarbera lost his back up jobs in Phoenix and in Edmonton the past year so what does that tell you. Why mess around with a kid like Raanta who is 24 and not 18. He has played in the pro leagues in Finland. He stays to back up Crawford and Labarbera is sent on his way. If Crawford struggles use Raanta, simple as that.

Why start your post, and the new year with such a snarky comment? You make good points, but come off sounding like a d-bag in the process....again.

Nice, though pretty much just a succinct summary of what everyone on these forums already knows. But it's nice for the Trib to write it up like that.

I think Toews should be a no-brainer for Captain, but I'm biased. If Babcock gave it to Sid I wouldn't be shocked either.

As much as we all think Toews is ideal for the job, they won gold with Sid as Captain last time, I don't see any reason they would change now.

Pretty good song - but - what does it have to do with the Hawks?

LOL. I like the montage. The song? I done left all my good ol' cowboy regalia in the other pickup truck, I'm afraid.

Every time I see a clip of CC at the rally, I think of Breaking Bad's Jesse Pinkman as a hockey player, because that's exactly what he would sound like if he won a Cup.

He did out play Quick, Rask and Howard to win the Cup. Just saying.
- Elbows15

He allowed fewer goals, he did not out play them, if you define outplaying as playing better.

The Blackhawks out chanced and out shot all their playoff opponents last year, sometimes by a wide margin. The opposing goalie was forced to make more, and more difficult, saves than CC.

Not saying CC didn't do enough to win the Cup, but the Blackhawks won because they entire team played better than their opponents, not just the goalie.

I think Scott Niedermayer was the captain in Vancouver, so it is up for grabs. I do think Sid will be captain but I'd love to see Toews get the recognition he deserves for what a great leader he is.

You are right, I am not too diplomatic when I see not too bright comments, my apologies to anyone I have offended. Happy New Year to all and I will work on being a better person.

Not sure you're really redeeming yourself here.

How about, instead of "not too bright comments", you would say "comments I don't agree with".

Good point but Elbow dude likes the little digs I give him, I am sure he just started watching hockey this year so I forgive his lack of knowledge.

With all the coin spent by Minnie ....how do they continue without a coaching change or blockbuster trade...same for Nashville

Both teams look like misses for the playoffs

I believe Mike Yeo's days are numbered. If Yeo would cut Suter's ice time by 4-5 minutes a game Suter would be fresher to run the pp. Parise is out now and has been ineffective while playing injured. Not saying Yeo is a bad coach but the results he has been getting is going to get him canned.
