ouch. should have traded him. his cotract is steep but wont be in a couple of years.
its the "c" for the next seven years thats going to be a problem. he is not a leader, lazy, dumb as poop....terrible example for the younger players and there is no taking it away from him.

He played every single game in 2010-11 and 2011-12, then he missed only 6 games last year. This year he has missed 22 games with a concussion, but he has been back the last 3 weeks. The concussion is a cause for concern, but I wouldn't say he's injury prone any more than we could say Liles is.

Yeah, definitely need some help for Phaneuf, which is also a stopgap as Rielly matures. Rielly might be the 1D in a few years. We really need a right hand shot on D too.

Bolland's injury was hugely significant imo. Centre was already thin with him in there, and his hustle influenced the whole team imo. Strange to say a third line centre can be a game changer but I think that applies to Bolland.

I think he'll be better than McClement: bigger, stronger, better offensively. Definitely a 3rd-liner though.

Bolland has always struggled when he's been asked to be more than a 3C. I also wouldn't expect much from him coming back from that injury.
