I can understand the backlash on the Dion signing but remember there is not much out there on the UFA market to go out and snag a guy - the RFA market is week as well
- MTL1[expect PK] but that will involve giving up picks or trying to orchestrate a trade like the Kessel one

The reason the deal looks bad is because it is being compared to other deals signed at earlier dates with a lower cap.
As time goes on and the cap goes up, the deal will look fine.
