I just want to know what the plan is if we saved the money and let Dion walk...Were we going to sign Chara with it? Weber? Suter?

What could we have done with the money to improve the team? Sign Girardi? I don't see how replacing Girardi with Phaneuf gets us ahead, plus its all assumption he has any interest in signing here...Who is out there to spend this money on?

I can understand the backlash on the Dion signing but remember there is not much out there on the UFA market to go out and snag a guy - the RFA market is week as well [expect PK] but that will involve giving up picks or trying to orchestrate a trade like the Kessel one
