Happy Fu-cking New Years, Leafers. Tomorrow we slay the Dead Things, in front of their so called Hockeytown Fans. Leafs Nation will drown them out and show the HBO crowd, why we're the number one fanbase, throughout the NHL. The Panthers, Coyotes and Predators fans should get down on their knees and kiss our feet, for keeping their pitiful franchises in the league. |

Happy New Year, Leafers. Really not all of you, just nbboy.
Had a great time in the city last Friday. Did not see the game as I went to Les Mis and had a awesome dinner there.
Going to make another trip up there this summer to walk Yonge and shop.
My offer still stands for Burn or SameOld to meet me up there and I will buy them a beer.
Go Leafs Go. But not to far. |

Not_Stee worries too much about dancing for French nickles in the Habs threads than he does being a Leaf fan. Don't even bother. - weirdoh

Remember that Andrew Raycroft guy? - Not_Stee
Indeed. In all fairness he was coming off a Calder trophy and the Leafs had a then promosing Justin Pogge waiting in the wings. I was pretty happy with the trade at the time. |

A couple things.....
- He wasn't coming off the calder, it was 2 years ago. He was coming off a terrible 2nd year.
- What they gave up was ridiculously brutal. Way too much. you cannot give up your #1 prospect for a goalie not really proven who is coming off a brutal year.
- They gave him a 4 year deal before seeing if he can hack it. there was no rush to sign him long term.
And then to add insult to injury they did the EXACT same thing 1 year later.
I had no issue with trying to add Raycroft but they (frank)ed up giving up way too much for him and then signing him too much for too long too soon. |

Dreger: the second the deal was signed at least one team reached out to check availability of Phanuef. There is no NTC protection until July1. |

And to you too! Got the fridge stocked for the game??? - lumlums
Im actually going out to a local establishment for the game. Though I am a bit nervous about it. I called yesterday to see if they would be open today for game time. They said they open at one. Kind of close for comfort, I hope they arent late! I know if they get there to open at 12/1230 theyll let me in and serve, so I hope they're on time.
I wonder if everyone is as pumped about this game as I am. Biggest and best outdoor game in our leagues history. Should be a doozy, if the Leafs win. If they lose, everything is ruined. |
