It's funny how we roll here in Leaf land.
We spent forever female doging about Gardiner a couple of months ago, the Phanuef took on a whole 6 weeks himself, now we are on to Kadri. I think it would be more simple for people to name the couple of players they acutally like on this team, and then just slag the rest off as a group. Kinda like a class action law suit thing. Who's next????
I reckon Lupul will be next. |

No it is for sure not, but I can see where you get that form.
players I would have wanted to wait and see before I sign long term big money
- Subban
- Kadri
- Yakapov
- Seguin
Many others do not have the same risk for me, but many don't have the same rewards as well.... - SgtSerge
And there you go.
Subban should have been signed long term when they had the chance. It was obvious to everyone and anyone that while Subban had flaws, he had all the tools to be a very good player. He was clearly the future of that teams defense. Dont get me wrong, as a Leaf fan, Im glad they're going to have to pay him more now. |

Who says the Habs have been great?
Marred with injuries all year
Allowing minimal goals is key
They have given up 29 fewer goals than the leafs - MTL1
Key to being 4 points ahead in the standings.... lol |

I would like to see half points. or points weighted towards reg wins - senstroll
they sort of already are. The ROW column is the 1st tie breaker. This is basically like saying that reg/ot wins are worth 3 points, but the extra point is just in a separate column. This also allows the W/L stats to be more consistent with historical numbers. |

I agree, the bridge deal for Subban made sense as new management needed to be sure his head was at the right place before giving him a long term contract.
I don't care if we'll pay him more than we would have. It was the right thing do to. - Scabeh
The only person who has really proved himself on that list of Subban, Seguin is looking more and more mature, and Kadri is at least with the big club now |

2 points for reg win
1 point forOT/SO win
0 points for loss
Thoughts? - SgtSerge
something like that, although I think winning in OT should be worth more than SO
2 points for reg win
1.5 point for OT
1 point SO win
0 points for loss

You need games to always be worth the same amount of points.
The problem with your system is that some games will give out 1 point total and others will give out two, just like the current system where games can give 2 points to a team or 3 total in case of a SO/OT win.
The NHL should go with a system of:
3 points for reg win - 0 for regular loss
2 points for OT/SO win - 1 for OT/SO loss.
That way every game is worth the same amount.
Either that or bring back the (frank)ing ties. |

Pretty sure Seguin is a sure thing now.
He's dominating with Dallas.
Yakupov is only 18. |

He needs to go back to the left wing. Not nearly as effective on the right side for some reason. |

IMO only 1/4 25% have proven they are worth the risk, and should have been signed earlier in hind sight. The others, everyone has been better to wait.

Habs still have the opportunity to do so.
And while his talent was never questionned, I really liked the fact they made sure Subban wasn't too much of a hothead to commit to long term.
They managed the whole in a safe way. Yes they'll end up paying him more than they would have, but it's a safe bet now unlike 2 years ago. |

I think Clarkson has kinda been done. It's going to be an ongoing thing. I think we will viciously turn on Lupul before we really crank up the heat on Clarkson |

Trade him. I'm going to pic a player on a different team that has nearly identical stats than Lupul, getting paid a lil bit more and play the grass is greener role. |
