never said PK sucks. I think he's fantastic however I think PK is alot of what dion used to be (erratic / high risk). Dion used to get 20 g and 50+ pts. He didn't win a norris but came 2nd to a guy called Lidstrom. Dion's offense is tailing off as his defense is improving. PK is similar in that regard.

i get the whole not letting guys walk, but you need all hands on deck for a playoff run (kule, raymond, etc). Depth is huge in the playoffs and i think it's a reason we took boston to 7. We need 3 if not 4 capable lines to compete. Moving raymond for a mid level pick won't be as valuable as having him on a solid 3rd line or filling in on the 2nd if (when) injuries strike in the playoffs.

Why? There aren't many C's in the League that fight often. There are a few, but everyone expects Dion to fight becuase he's the C and should show some heart. I wanna see Zetterberg fight, the heartless twat.

reimer franson kuli as good as gone..raymond will want too much so he's gone.. bolland mcclement and holland are priorities considering the depth issue toronto has at centre.

gardiner is worth keeping,... and his contract wont be too much of a hike especially with franson out of the picture.

Problem is, unless Bolland re-signs i really don't see who would be Captain. Lupul seems a popular choice for 35 games. That leaves, 47 games. Clarkson?? He'd get even more heat.

not franson.. with arbitration he is looking at 4 mill easy.... and he is far too much of a defensive liability to be paid that much

Fine...we'll have 2 referees trolling their own team.

There are a few players that they can give a look next year, Abbott, Leivo and Biggs (or whoever makes an impression at camp) to take a third line role, they have Holland as well that can switch to wing or they can pick a player off the leftover pile at UFA like Raymond this year. Someone who wants to prove themselves at a bargain price for one year.
