When I was a teenager I used to call my dad an bumhole when he would tell me when I start paying the bills I could make the decisions... Now I get it.

Honestly, yes. I am so angry that I work so hard, and because I dont have kids that 30% of my and my wifes pay gets taken away from me and given out to people that arent working, or government projects that arent needed, or just generally wasted. I have to live paycheck to paycheck. I cant save anything. Which means I cant spend anything. So yes, when I see wasted goverment spending, it turns me into an bumhole.

Right. Then the bumholes call me a bumhole because I'm pissed I have to support them.

Watched the whole team canada game this am. Liere seems more like the 13th forward and doesn't have a defined role. He seems a bit undersized and doesn't seem to have + skills. I was also diisappointed wit Laughton's role. In the preseason he played with more talented players and he seemed pretty effective. But now he is playing on the 4th line with a checking crash and bang role. He didn't have much of a impact at all in the game which was disappointing considering he is wearing the C. Looking forward to seeing him vs some of the powerhouses to see how Sutter plays him.

Laughton was on the third line and he's being used as a shutdown center. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with the most minutes against better competition.

Leier is more of a complimentary piece. He played on the 2nd PK unit and seemed to settle in as the game wore on.

You have to keep in mind the guys in front of them on Canada are top prospects and future stars in the NHL. Laughton isn't regarded as a guy who will produce points like Drouin, Mantha, McDavid, Rinehart or others. He's going to be a very good all around forward so don't let the stats determine your outlook of them both.

Thanks for explaining. You know what drives me crazy about DelDot. It seems like they will take 2 years to complete a project and then 2 year later will be re-doing it. I heard its because unless Delaware spends so much on road repairs, they wont get federal money. So they end up doing roads over just to get the money, not because the roads are bad. That is really what drives me nuts.

If i'm not mistaken that's all government agencies. If you don't spend ALL of your budget, the next fiscal years budget decreases. If you spend all of it, it increases. If spending increases, salaries increase etc.

Amen brother. There are issues with government spending. But just think... our government spent millions recently in a research study to find out if people are more likely to tell their secrets before or after sex. I thought it was common knowledge.

Silly me.

It all pisses me off, but I would much rather it goes to people that are WORKING to DEFEND our country then a crackhead mother that dropped out of school to pop out 8 babies that I have to pay for.

I could really use it to be able to buy the home I currently live in. But I can't save enough to put up a down payment to get a mortgage, so I'm stuck renting to own.

So in other news, I haven't seen many 'Why didn't we draft Dougie Hamilton instead of Couturier?!?!' lately.

I'm waiting for the "why didn't we draft maata instead of Laughton??!?!?!"

I was told Olli Maatta is the next Nick Lidstrom, and that Penguins fans generally have much more intelligent, reasonable expectations than Flyers fans.

He only had 31 points in the WJC 20 years ago. But what does that really matter?

I think their expectations were thrown off when they drafted Crosby and Malkin. They think every first round pick will develop into those types of players.

Over on TSN they did an all-time WJC team. It had 4 former Flyers. Carter, Lindros, Richards, and Forsberg.
