9 straight home wins. Pretty damn good.

Tough 6 game road trip after the Christmas break. 7 points would be good.

Good for Schenn to get that puck to Simmonds, he needed a point bad. Good for Simmonds to be selfish, glad to see him hit double digits.

Nice job tonight boys!
My 3 stars:

1. Giroux- strong game in all 3 zones

2. Simmonds- Was a one man wrecking crew tonight

3. Mason - had no chance on the one goal

Also nice games for Luke Schenn, Grossmann, Raffl and dare I say it, Hartnell

Watching Lecavalier tonight and seeing him live Saturday, I can't help but think this guy's talent is being wasted by having him on the second unit of the PP and having him play wing to Read and Couturier. No disrespect to those two players but Lecavalier needs to be running things at center and playing with two natural wingers on each side.
- Schenn2shine

I agree. But I'd leave him there till Downie is fit. I'm just glad he's back already and looks strong as ever.

Great win tonight. Only bad thing was more dumb penalties.

Nice non stressful game to watch.

Luke Schenn played very well tonight. Was physically engaged and was cool and collective wit the puck

He got 2 1/2 minutes of TOI, and Rino got 4 mins. I think his minutes were just small

I wanted to share a couple of things with you guys about my road trip to Columbus Saturday and ask a question direct at the Philly locals.

First, I highly recommend going to see a Blue Jackets game. At the beginning of a game, chicks! During every commercials, chicks! During every intermission, chicks! After every goal, chicks! After the game, chicks! Oh and they have a sweet cannon too.

Now my question to Philly locals are, which Flyers do you find are the most fan friendly? I ran into Scott Hartnell. I wasn't wearing my Jersey at the time but I saw him, he saw me and he saw the look of surprise and shock on my face. The guy didn't look approachable at all and he was listening to his ipod. It didn't change my opinion of him but would it have killed him to nod or smile?

30 seconds later I ran into Ian Laperriere. I sprinted to him. I approached him and man, what a prince! The guy couldn't be more nice. I wanted to talk hockey but I was so star struck that all I could get out were the two pucks to his face and his role on this is 40. He talked with me for awhile. He practically walked around most of the side of Nationwide Arena to help me find someone to take our picture together. He suggested the smokers in the smoking section outside. I'm still very impressed by that man.

And rightly so haha

Hall deserves TOI because he brings something to the table not like his line mates. However if hall keeps taking stupid penalties like today he should be benched

The call on Hall should have been Grossmann's penalty. Hall's only crime was being nearby

Nice win!

Very rarely do I see Simmonds lumped into that group considered the Flyers young core of Jake/G/B.Schenn but I think he belongs in there.

Possible, my initial guess was that the ref thought Hall tripped him, and caused him to fall into Grossmann
