That money is much better spent up front.............Phaneuf just doesn't bring that much to the team on D. Don't like this deal. |

i dont understand what the contradiction is
his first olympics he was too green .. shouldnt of been there.. by the next olympics he had 4 world cups under his belt..and a few spenglers as well i belive. he wasnt green anymore when it came to pro international tourneys.
there is no contradiction - Dozzer
Man you guys are getting butt hurt about this. Whether Nash or Hall or neither are on the team, Canada will have the best team on paper in the tourney. Done |

even if i give you the fact you were talking about the last two years you said kessel wasnt a PPG player and Hall was.
that's where you contradicted yourself
neither are PPG players over their career.. if you cut it down to the last couple.. both are over.
please explain to me why you were arguing that Hall was and Kessel wasnt |

that is the question! - big_dion
That all depends on who's available. |

best defenseman on the team by a wide margin, better than anyone hitting UFA this year.
Likely better than anyone hitting UFA for the term of his contract.
So it's sign him, or let him go and get a helluva lot worse. - Feeling Glucky?

I disagree
I would rather have 2 of the below than one Phaneuf
Giradi
Orpik
Boyle
Robidas
Greene
Niskanen |

I see what you're saying... we should ask for something of value from them, in return for helping them secure a lottery pick.

Yea, but the Leafs aren't in a position to do that. They're not a rebuilding team anymore. If they start shedding their best players, they may as well dump everyone over 25 and try again. |
