I actually would to and that's not an endorsement of Carkner but rather an condemnation of how awful Ness has been as of late.

I agree. Carkner provided s level of toughness, even if it is poorly timed.

Carkner is one of the hardest players to watch on this team and that says a lot. Ness has been bad enough to actually make this a debate.

If Carkner (or Canker) could actually skate he woundn't be so bad. For a big guy, he skates with such short strides.

I'm willing to give Donovan a shot over carkner and ness again

Guy is facking awful. Yeah some of it has to do with his skating but most of it has to do with him being bad and not a smart hockey player.

Now that Strait is back, Donovan could play a more reduced role, so why not. That said, I'd even like to see Pedan get a brief shot over Carkner and Ness just to add the size factor.

I have a hard time seeing Capuano giving him a legit shot.

Me too Dan. We should be seeing guys like Lee and maybe Sundstrom as well. No point in guys like Regin playing. I'd like to see Poulin getting more starts and Nabby being a mentor.

And I don't get it. He was made the scapegoat but has made the same mistakes that everyone else on the blue line makes nightly

Its a constant with Capuano. Wrong guy to have developing our prospects.

I think Cappy's lack of clout with vet players leads him to 'pick' on the younger one's a bit more. Two years of watching Reasoner rink turn, lose faceoffs, and flat out stink yet he was never called out by Cappy. You never hear "Nabby needs to play better". If it's guys who carry a bit of vet past or weight with the organization, they get the miscellaneous "Passenger" comment. Direct accusations are reserved for guys like Donovan, Nelson, Grabner etc.

Exactly right keaner! Unless it's Grabner he leaves the vets alone. Instead he picks on good young prospects who have played about 5 minutes in the NHL.

I'd have to agree, despite his brain cramps and stupid penalties, Ness hasn't done anything to show he should be playing.

Donovan should not have been sent down. I really don't know why they haven't called him back up, unless Cappy's convinced he was the reason they were losing and now all is good.
