Haha, maybe if I rooted for any team worth a damn I wouldn't feel so damn frustrated tonight. I actually had expectations for the first time in years, and the season is over before New Year's. it's really numbing.

My catharsis is over, I feel better now.

When JT went down my heart stopped. If JT were to get hurt this team would never win a game again. Its a scary thought knowing theres a possibility he bolts after this contract. If that were to happen I would not be an Isles fan anymore. He is honestly the only reason why I watch the games at this point.

Shocking he has not blamed the Isles for anything yet. Shows how low the Isles have fallen.

same. I thought this would be our year to not only make the playoffs but win a round. Even with an averge defense goalie and decent second line this team would have been there. Any team that has JT should be a threat.

It would explain plenty. They both have the same leadership style.

I thought making the playoffs would be tough. No way did I think we could win a round with this D and Nabby.

How Laviolette is still unemployed is staggering.

Guy is a flat out good hockey coach.

While I'd love to see Laviolette be the coach, we all have a feeling Doug Weight will be the next coach...

Hate to say it, but can't blame coach each time team personnel fails to get job done. Team plays on ice. Team blew lead. #isles

Weight wouldn't be a bad move. Guy was a cerebral players and he has the potential to be one of the former players that transition smoothly, from player to head coach.

Laviolette is obviously the proven commodity, behind the bench, but Weight doesn't seem like a bad alternative.

In the long run, I just don't seeing him being any better than Capuano ...

Only way to find out is to see him be the main bench boss; whether on Long Island or elsewhere.

Will someone please remind this baffoon Snow that tanking this season or next won't help as he traded away his number 1 pick which is sure to be a lottery pick. He was so annoyed that they were .500 that he gave away the house and Moulson for Vanek. Now that the team has given up, he does nothing, no player movement, coaching change, nothing. Thanks for showing you care you baffoon. I'm glad Cappy continues to think they pay haad, whatever the hell that means.

Dude, I don't even remember our last non-shoot out win. Not even joking. CAN'T REMEMBER. Please beat us by like 5 goals.

This is why many of us thought the Vanek deal only made sense if there was more to follow. He was better off waiting until the summer to make an offer to Vanek as an FA. Those comments from Snow make no sense if he was so unhappy at 500 and now no comments? He had many Isles fans thinking the Vanek deal was the start of the Isles doing things differently and not waiting for the team to tank. If he could not make the Vanek deal in the summer he should have forgot it.

They can lay it all on the players all they want and they deserve plenty of blame, but Cappy's seen this movie enough to know that he can call a time out and settle these guys down. Again, if it happens once or twice, it's chaulked up to a simple mental error. When it happens EVERY GAME, it's in their psyche. The coach needs to IDENTIFY and SOLVE.

A lot of this is on the coaching staff. It's the same freqking thing every game. Same lines, same d pairs, same crap system hoping for different results. Enough of this crap. Also, a lot of it is on the GM for setting up the coaching staff with these players and little options

Trick is, this team shows on a regular basis that it's capable of hanging with their opponents. It's the sudden mental breakdowns that keep dooming us. This team lacks solid veteran leadership. 75% of their issues are between the ears.
