Megna from Despres and Bortuzzo ... you aren't going to see that too often. Great goal. - Oneonta Penguin

Gotta like your chances if Megna and Conner are scoring in the same game.
Despres has a very good shot and he gets it off quicker than any dman on the team. He'll be getting plenty of assists in his career. |

On second thought...
I didn't count on the the Pens taking the period off. A lot of watching going on. |

I'm still a big fan of Jagr, but I don't want him back after 82 games plus Olympics. He looked dead tired after last years shortened season during the playoffs, I can only imagine what he'll be like this year.
He can sign a one day contract and retire a Pen when he hangs them up. Jersey hanging from the rafters to follow. - madmike71
I completely agree. |

Part of me thinks that they are trying to drag this out so the not-so-stern punishment kind of blows over with the masses not directly involved (Pit-Bos). - ryman1566
They haven't yet brought in the brand new darts that Shanny will use to throw at the suspension dart board. |

Wow. Sleepwalking through that period. Who were those guys wearing 87 and 71? Must be impostors because both of those guys gave no effort in that period....especially defensive effort. |

We are getting badly outplayed by what I would term a mediocre team at best. |

Fleury another great save |

Exceptionally poopty production by ROOT tonight. A few more ISO-zooms would be good. It would be especially nice if they could zoom in for a few more pointless shots of MAF standing around while play goes the other way.
Only the Penguins effort is worse. |

We were very fortunate to win this game. Fleury bailed us out. |

Really sad display...come out dominant, early 3-0 lead and MAF is the only reason we came away with any points. We deserved to lose that game. At least Letang played another decent, simplified game, and I thought Despres/Bortuzzo looked pretty good together. |

Disgraceful effort. Only played one period. MAF won that game. Nobody else showed up for the last two periods. |

A couple games earlier in the season the Pens were dominant only to lose so while it wasn't a pretty game by any means the main thing is they won while not playing their best. Nice to see some guys get on the scoresheet who rarely do to help in the win.
Sweet game by MAF.
Leave Megna in there. |

Fleury bailed us out but i havent seen nj play that hard in quite some time. They completely outworked us the 2nd and 3rd periods. |

He will get sent down. There have been many moves the last year or two that the Pens made the wrong move as to who gets sent down.

Tough game tonight. Fleury really needed to be sharp at times. Glad he picked it up in the 3rd when he needed to. Good to get the win of course. Despres and Megna looked pretty good during stretches in the game. |

This team is pretty solid. I hope Shero doesnt make any moves before or at the deadline....maybe a veteran backup goalie if its cheap, but this team really is playing solid hockey |

And both Megna and Despres will unfortunately get sent down after everyone returns.
