Not sure about Suter and Doughty. Not this year anyway... - Pecafan Fan
Really Suter ? HE plays almost 30 mins a game and is clearly their best d-man and possibly the best in the west along with Weber. Wow this clearly shows that you only watch habs games. |

So guys i got this extremely close reliable source, and he's kinda been eluding to a Toews&Kane for Crosby&Malkin trade....not official yet....but im hearing its very serious on both sides. Ill keep u posted.

Better defensive players then PK
Still offer offense
Less flashy then pk
Overall smarter players
Sometimes less is more
Pk is a good d man but him winning the Norris was the worst thing to happen ... That award doesn't go to the best defenseman anymore ... It goes to the defenseman with most points who is the most popular

Umm, Suter is american. - Rtt19
I almost called him on that too, but he was replying to someone asking for 5 better defensemen in general. |
|
|
|
Agreed. He's dominant and a game-breaker. With the other all-stars and leaders on the ice he may well come out as one of the most valuable players on the team. - AlfieFever
I remember the same discussion around DD8 in 2010, ended up being one of Canada's go-to guys. |

I'm a Sharks fan. Subban is elite and has no business not being there, deal with it.
Also why the (frank) should I care what reporters say? There's a reason they don't pick the team. Reporters "report" what will generate the most discussion. - FinAddict
he's really, really not liked by the majority of non-Montreal Canadian media.
he's not vanilla enough for this country. |

so, the Norris doesn't count if Redmile247 doesn't like the results.

Oh God.. that would be like saying that a surgeon is great just because he has degrees on his wall. I will not deny his talent but frankly, the trophy means nothing in my evaluation. I know you agree with me on this one, people need to stop using this Norris thing as an argument in any discussion. - Alpamayo91
Nice, So every Dman without a Norris is like a Back alley unlicensed "Doctor" |

he's forgotten because he's 37 and he's not the player he was 3 years ago. |

and of course Roy colluded with Tremblay to let him in for all 9 goals so that he would have a reason to be enrage...right! - Raven33
Hey I'm just repeating the story that Vernon stated. Not my problem that you don't like it or don't believe it. But it is a strange coincidence that after that meeting, that same night he played like poop. Or he saw his opportunity to get the F*** out. Just saying!! |

0 goals, 15 pts and a -1
I don't care how many minutes he logs... he won't be playing 35 minutes a night on team Canada. |

I don't know about that. I think did a lot of work with TSN during the lockout and has been a guest on a lot of Sportsnet shows and it seems like he's actually very well liked. |

He knows more than the ~180 voters from the PHWA. |

why? - BingoLady
Team Canada has enough offense up from x10
When picking d man they will go with safer choices then pk
He has all the talent in the world but he's not there yet overall
With guys like doughty webber Keith you don't need anymore offense than that and there are smarter choices like AP jbo seabrook Boyle ... I know ppl on here will laugh but it's the truth |

and purposely tarnish his image in Montreal?
he could have asked for a trade quietly, and the result would have been the same. |

I'll have to re-read his book as I have it at home but never saw anything in there that corralated the two together... but when it comes to opportunites to get the hell out of MTL, I can't blame him! LOL ...99% of players do better once they leave MTL! |

If you can manage to forget everything he's done up until the past year and a half, he's not one of the top defensemen anymore. He's still really good but he's lost a step. There's no shame in that either, he's a great player for being old as (frank). |
