You Subban haters make me giggle. Boyle is one of the defencemen people think should be ahead of Subban. He scored on himself in the playoffs. Does that make him bad defensively? I watched an L.A. game last year and saw Doughty give the puck away 4 times. Does that make him bad defensively? You can't judge Subban's defensive play on one game. He has had 2 bad games I can think of this year. All players do it. Get over yourselves. |

That's the key word. There are always going to be a small group of idiots who give an entire fan base a bad name. Every team has bozo's - fudd1689
I think we found that "group" representing the Oilers.

Yes. He is now a terrible defenseman and overrated. |

He has for apparently the last 7 games. There is approx 200 other games that he has not. Small sample size. - NugentHallberle
The whole point of our argument, is that he has improved in the areas that you are picking at. None of us are saying he does everything. But where he was mostly an offensive threat early in his career and as late as last season, things have come a long way. |

You know teams don't play 60 minutes on the pk, right?
...and if you already have 5 other guys who can play on the pk why is it so important that Subban also play on the pk?
So the other 5 guys being able to play on the pk, wouldn't you want the best player available to bring something ELSE to the table? Something that he does just about better than anyone else in the world?
just a thought.

He never did, no. He is now starting to play some PK. Not a lot, but some. Remember though - Habs get all the calls and so there is very little PK for him to be on for. |

No. Murray should be on the PP with Gorges and Diaz and Subban should kill all penalties. |

Damn it. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this.
EDIT: apparently playing on the pk is a prerequisite to play on team Canada. hopefully it doesn't apply to forwards, since some of the better ones out there don't... |
