Better than PK all around? Yup, every last one of em including Seabrook.
PK is good offensively, fine I get that. I think with likes of Crosby, Toews, Stamkos (if healthy), Tavares, Getzlaf, Perry, Thornton, Couture, Benn, St Louis, etc. Canada should be able to score plenty of goals. It will be shutting down the guys like Ovey, Malkin, Datsyuk, Sedins, Backstrom, Kane, and Kessel that will be the problem for Canada. PK simply doesn't fit the mold for what Canada needs because he's a liability on the ice night in and night out, not to mention his questionable attitude. Plus, looking at last year's playoffs he sure didn't seem to be able to handle the pressure... - NugentHallberle
We've already been through all this, don't feel like going through it all again... |

Yesterday it was Flyers and Edmonton had "rekindled" talks. Was that an Amazon commercial or a rumor? |

In case you hadn't noticed, Therrien is now playing Subban and Markov against all top lines...and it's coincided with GAA less than 2 over the 8 or 9 game stretch in which they've done that (mostly because the other team's top line has been shutdown).
But you are right, he's still a defensive liability...the guy will never improve.
Oh, and very astute of you to remember the Mike Richards comments of a few years ago. Funny how no one in the habs locker room mentions anything about his attitude, yet everyone who's not in that locker agrees that it's a problem.

And you're in the locker room, so you would know. |

HEY...ONLY WAY PK MAKES IT IS IF HE CAN PLAY THE FINAL TWO MINUTES OF EVERY GAME!!!!
(frank) the Powerplay....that's what I say. - stormeyAlterEgo
Play him only 6 minutes a night...close out all the periods just to show the world they now have faith in him.

I said no one said it's a problem...yet people outside of the locker room say it is.
I stand by what I said. I never said it wasn't a problem, I'm just saying no one said it was. You get what I'm saying?

I totally agree with your line of thinking.
Please confirm this is 2011. - hscesq
Not sure what you mean... You're saying he isn't a defensively irresponsible/have a questionable attitude anymore? Or that he couldn't handle the pressure of the playoffs last year?
See gross amount of giveaways, holding out on contract, battling with teammates and coaches, and Game 3 meltdown in LAST YEAR'S playoffs. All of which has occurred in 2013. |

Never happened according to Habs fans. They are rumors that were caught on camera. |

Not even talking about the Richards comment.. How about him holding out on his contract until he realized they didn't need him, freaking out on Patches in last year's playoffs, and the Therrien issues this season for recent examples? Where there's smoke there's fire. |

You have no idea what you're talking about. You were just given evidence of his defensive improvements by another poster. You were just given evidence of his play at the end of games. Gross amounts of giveaways? Well he will give the puck away sometimes, yes. But those numbers can be skewed based on the amount of time a player spends with the puck on his stick. Holding out on a contract? Please - countless players have done that throughout the history of sports, and they aren't considered to have bad attitudes. Battling with teammates and coaches? What are you talking about?
Listen, it's obvious you don't like this player, and that's your prerogative. But he has improved in all facets of the game, including defense and as a teammate. People that watch him every day can tell you that. |

What for turning down trading a future Steven Stamkos for a defenseman that can't even make team Canada and wants to get paid more than anything else. Yea, what a crime! - w1nman
No for a defenseman that come along once in a great while that won the Norris last year and is only going to get better ...and is part of the best defensive pairing in the NHL this year ... |

You make it sound like he is the first person to ever hold out for a better contract. You do realise that is the agent telling him to hold out right?
oh my god did he raise he voice at a white man? someone call the Sheriff

1. Agents negotiate contracts, that's what they get paid for. PK's agent is also ROR's agent, who held out on Colorado, as you said, where there's smoke there's fire.
2. Patches freaked out on him for PK giving him a sui pass, who the hell knows what PK said to Patches but if it were a big issue they probably wouldn't still be playing together.
3. What Therrien issues? All players have issues with their coaches, coaches push their buttons, they're supposed to. Montreal media tends to blow things out of proportion.
What else do you have? This is way more fun than studying for exams |

What evidence?
As of right now he plays :44 seconds per game of PK time. As of last night he still made boneheaded turnovers that cost goals. IS he a great player? Of course, is he a complete player? Not yet |

Why does he have to play on the Penalty Kill when there are plenty of slugs on the team that can stand in the way of a puck on the team? |
