Ummm maybe the multiple fists fights he has gotten into during practices? - sbroads24
Seriously, Subban's bad reputation is way overblown, as are his supposed problems defensively. |

I, for one, will say I was putting the Sens in the 3rd spot in our division, behind Boston and DET, with Toronto/MTL/Tampa battling for the wild card.
The Sens new catchphrase this year has been #fearless. They should stick with #pesky. Seemed like it worked well, cause the only thing they look they're fearless about is losing games.
They need to wake up. They have a very good roster. Some individuals have been playing like utter garbage, and everytime they make an error, the other teams capitalize on it. Cowen, Gryba, Anderson have been terribad. Spezza needs to start leading and also chip in a bit more. Michalek also needs to step up. Even though I still like his defensive game, he's very very inconsistant and looks completely disinterested.
Trades incoming, and I believe it Zack Smith and Anderson will be the first ones to leave. - LCDavid4
Not sure how you can rip Spezza. He is playing with absolute nobodies and he still has 20 pts (including 10 goals) in 23 games. Defensively, he hasn't been great, but that's never been one of his strengths.
I would say considering the 4th line talent he plays with on a nightly basis, he's actually doing quite well.

Yea that astonishing :44 seconds of PK time per game disagrees. Don't worry, that's only 7th on Montreal's defense |

Pretty sure he won't be on the PK for team Canada, so that means nothing. |

Well it means the Norris Trophy winner isn't trusted to kill penalties but whatever. |

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
No match between Sens and NYR on Del Zotto. Told Ott made Gryba, Greening and Condra available. Fit wasn't right for NYR.
So they offered absolutely nothing for MDZ.... - Fruitcakenipple

No to dion and no to pk
This no order but just the guys there IMO
Doughty weber
Keith seabrook
J bo AP
Boyle
I see more than enough offense and pp qbs that guys like pk and dion are not needed ... These guys are safer players who don't have the brain cramps that dion and pk do |

Leave it to leaf fans to try and make any discussion about them, pathetic.
I'm sorry but Montreals biggest rival is the Bruins
The Sens biggest rival is Montreal
The Leafs are irrelevant to both clubs, maybe you should go play in the buffalo thread they are as starved for attention as you are. |

It just keeps him fresh for PP chances when he can play 1:30+ or just regular 5 on 5 play. also on the p.k chances of blocking shots is increased = injury, and a few of our guys like Josh Gorges play their best minutes while shorthanded |

So disappointed in the fact that TSN will not have any games in the future. Sportsnet is ok... but the talent on the TSN panel far outweighs it! - mlindsay
TSN panel is vastly over rated. The TSN SportCenter writing has become a joke.
There will be some movement but there are only a couple guys on TSN that would be worth it for Sportsnet to nab. Dreger is not one of them.... |

That's because I was responding to this. His defensive problems arent overblown, they exist. Hence why he doesn't kill penalties |

Right, except that all of the pundits picked Ottawa to finish high in the standings based on a roster that they knew did not include Alfie or Gonchar.
See how logic works? High five. - oniremosewa

Why does agreeing that the Sens are overrated make me a hater?
Hate implies caring, and literally no one outside of Ottawa cares about the Senators. You're an irrelevant team, both culturally and statistically. |

I don't get how the story is about Subban making the team. Of course he will there is no controversy there. Only the one you retards are creating and manifesting through the media.
Subban would be my first selection if i chose the team. Big ice surface, Subban is by far the strongest skater of any NHL defensemen let alone Canadian ones.
Having said that Bouwmeester is a strong skater too, but I still think Phaneuf can add a different dimension as well as a great shot. - Pikey Fan
yes, it's fans who create stories that the media runs with, and not vice versa. |
