The typical Philadelphia fanbase reaction is to trade the entire team as soon as they lose 2+ games in a row.

I mean if you guys really want to do that, you can send Hartnell this way.

He reminds me of the guy the Eagles drafted in the first round (Lance whatever). Tons of raw athletic ability than makes him a standout against kids, but needs some serious refinement to cut it at the NHL level.
- jmatchett383

He seems to bring a lot more than just raw ability... he's driven, committed, smart... his hockey sense on the o-side is a bit unrefined, but he's got the d-side figured out pretty well. He's having a great start to this season... I definitely think EDM did the right thing picking him over Risto, who is far more limited in upside.

I would trade Hartnell (or anyone) for the right price. But that depends on how attached you are to Myers and several high picks, and if you're willing to eat Meszaros's salary.

Nichushkin looks like OV on paper, but unfortunately, he's got the hockey sense of Erik Cole.
- Tomahawk

Ouch! I haven't seen him play yet. I guess I need to take a look. I really liked him in the draft.

Really? That is shocking to me, with Nolan having coached here before and on the Island for a bit.
- ImThatGuy

Really haven't been that many First Nations coaches have there?

Trottier for a little while.

Ted Nolan.

And now Berube.

No others come to mind, really.

I don't think Hartnell would fetch all that much.

Myers has been Buffalos best player. he is returning to his rookie of teh year form, everywhere on the ice, plus he had figured out how to use his body.

I cant see him going anywhere anytime soon.

Buffalo does not have any salary cap issues, actually they will have to worry about the floor soon if they decide to trade Miller/Moulson/Ott. Taking on contracts wouldnt be too much of an issue

Forget Myers, I'd trade Hartnell for Kaleta if it meant getting rid of that terrible contract.

Speaking of terrible contracts, how's our old buddy Ville Leino look now that he's healthy-ish?

Someone I would take back if Buffalo ate half the cap hit and threw in a pick... but I guess thats what Buy-outs are for....

Hopefully a buy-out cnadidate this year. Another issue with the cap floor, if they cant tie up some money somewhere they will have to keep him.

I hated that move since day one. Thanks for making him look so good in that PHI/BUF playoff series, jerks!

A typical Leino shift...

Skate with puck into the zone,

Hold onto the puck, Hold onto the puck, Hold onto the puck, Hold onto the puck, Hold onto the puck, Hold onto the puck, Hold onto the puck,

Make blind behind back pass for turnover,

Line change.

I will say for not being one of the biggest guys, he is very difficult to knock off the puck. Now if he could just turn that into something. . .

He's superb at allowing the play to develop around him and drawing attention so linemates can settle into soft spots... but he needs good linemates to take advantage of his gifts... definitely better ones than Ott/Ennis and McCormick/Stafford. Maybe they could give him a shot w/ Moulson/Hodgson.

Edit: (Or you guys could deal for Hartnell and Briere).
